About me and my therapy practice

My approach is primarily psychodynamic, which explores how our experiences and relationships shape the patterns through which we relate to ourselves and the world around us. Working relationally and non-directively, I aim to create a space for honest conversations and careful exploration of your thoughts, feelings, fears, memories, and anything that may be difficult to put into words.

Through what unfolds within our professional relationship, we can begin to understand what makes you who you are, reduce the hold your difficulties may have on your life, and help you become more yourself.

While exploring the past in the context of the present, I also consider the biological, social, and cultural dimensions of the mind to support our understanding of the subjective nature of your experience.

If you’re interested in working together, please visit my website for more information or contact me to arrange a free initial consultation.

Practice description

I have several years of experience in the field of mental health and have supported people with a range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. Through my work with children and young people whose lives have been affected by trauma, I have developed a particular interest in how the mind responds to adversity, and have contributed to research on dissociative states and depersonalisation.

Alongside my psychotherapy work with adults at Edinburgh Centre for Psychodynamic Therapy, I have worked across a variety of mental health settings including crisis services, residential care for traumatised children, and mental health and neurodiversity services within academic institutions in the UK.

Following my MSc in Psychology of Mental Health, I completed a qualifying programme in Integrative Psychotherapy and have since pursued further clinical training within the field of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Qualifications And Credentials:
