About me and my therapy practice
I’m Jelena, a psychodynamic psychotherapist offering a warm, confidential, and thoughtful setting for reflection and deeper understanding of the self. I offer sessions both in person and online, and practise from consulting rooms on Fleet Street (EC4Y) and Manchester Square (W1U), London.
People often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, and life can feel confusing and hard to navigate. Through regular sessions, the aim is to develop insight and understanding that can lead to lasting change. Together, we make sense of emotional experiences and recurring difficulties, so you can feel clearer and more in control of your life.
Psychodynamic therapy is rooted in psychoanalytic thinking and offers space for reflection on inner life, relationships, and experience, past and present. I have worked across different therapeutic settings, supporting people with anxiety, depression, low mood, eating disorders, trauma, suicidal ideation and self-esteem difficulties.
I have completed postgraduate training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and am committed to ongoing professional development. I am currently undertaking further training at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, alongside additional training courses with a focus on trauma.
Practice description
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re carrying a lot on your own. If you’re feeling unsure or wondering whether this is the right time, that’s completely understandable. You’re welcome to reach out to begin a conversation and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
Sessions are held once a week, in person or online, in a comfortable and private setting. My role is to help you feel supported, and listened to, without judgment. Together, we will work at your pace to better understand what is going on for you and to develop a deeper awareness of yourself.
My first session
In the beginning we will arrange a free phone or video call (usually 15 minutes). This gives us a chance to briefly talk about what brought you to therapy. If it feels right, we can schedule a first meeting that provides an opportunity for us to explore further what brought you to therapy and get a sense of our work together.
Sessions start at £80, with some concessionary availability to help find a fee that feels manageable for you.
