I currently have availability and offer both online and face-to-face sessions. I work Monday to Friday, with appointments available during the day and in the evening. Please contact me to arrange a time that best suits your schedule.

If you require flexibility around work, family, or educational commitments, I will do my best to accommodate this. I welcome enquiries from individuals, parents, schools, and professionals who are looking to begin therapy or to discuss whether my approach might be the right fit.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a psychodynamic therapist who works with the deeper aspects of the mind, including unconscious feelings, hidden beliefs and the stories we carry about ourselves. My approach invites clients to explore the roots of their emotions so that healing can take place from a grounded and authentic place. I believe that when we understand the experiences that shaped us, we gain the ability to respond to life rather than simply react to it.

The relationship between therapist and client is central to my work. I offer a calm, warm and reflective space where you can bring whatever feels present without judgment. Together we notice patterns, explore emotional triggers and make sense of the thoughts and feelings that can feel overwhelming or confusing. This process helps you understand yourself more deeply and supports you to build healthier ways of relating to others.

I have a strong interest in identity, culture, race, gender and the emotional impact of belonging. Many clients come to me feeling unseen or misunderstood, especially when their lived experiences do not fit easily into the expectations of others. I understand how culture and family systems influence how we learn to survive, perform or silence parts of ourselves. My practice allows space for those conversations to be held with respect, honesty and compassion.

I draw from psychodynamic thinking, trauma informed practice, emotional regulation theory and reflective exercises. Sessions are collaborative and paced with care, allowing you to explore at a rhythm that feels safe. My aim is to help you uncover the parts of your story that have been carried alone for too long, so that change can happen from the inside out. Therapy with me is not about quick fixes. It is about building insight, strengthening emotional resilience and reconnecting you to your sense of self.

Practice description

My practice offers a safe and reflective space where you can explore your inner world, understand your emotional responses and make sense of your experiences. I support clients who feel overwhelmed, unheard or disconnected from themselves, and those trying to manage difficult feelings without knowing their origins. I honour personal stories shaped by family dynamics, culture, identity and trauma.

I work with children, young people, adults, families and groups. Some clients feel anxious, confused or low in confidence, while others feel unsure about who they are. My role is to provide a therapeutic relationship where you can speak freely, explore patterns and understand the emotions beneath your behaviour, so that change becomes possible.

When working with children and young people I use creative resources such as sand, toys, stories, art materials and colouring activities. These tools support emotional expression and help uncover the meanings held beneath play and symbols, which is central to psychodynamic work with younger clients.

Sessions explore thoughts and feelings in the present, alongside past experiences that may still shape your relationships and choices. I do not give advice or quick fixes. I help clients understand themselves more deeply so they can move forward with clarity, confidence and emotional strength.

Identity and culture are important parts of my work. My practice welcomes honest conversations about belonging and the messages we inherit from families and society. I recognise how race, gender and community expectations influence how we see ourselves and how others see us.

Therapy with me is collaborative. You will not be rushed. You will be supported to explore your emotions at a pace that feels manageable. My commitment is to offer a space where your truth can be spoken, your feelings understood and your sense of self can grow stronger.

My first session

Before beginning therapy I offer a free fifteen minute phone call. This gives you a chance to ask questions, share a little about what you are looking for and get a sense of whether my way of working feels right for you. There is no pressure during this call. It is a gentle introduction to help you decide if you would like to begin therapy with me.

Your first session will be an assessment. This means we take time to understand your current difficulties, your emotional world and any experiences that may be relevant to your wellbeing. You will be invited to talk at your own pace and there is no expectation to know exactly what you want to say. I will ask questions that help us build a clear picture of your needs, and we will explore what you hope to gain from therapy. The assessment also allows us to agree the structure of our work together, including session times and practical arrangements.

For children and young people the first session may look slightly different. I aim to create a space that feels safe, calm and friendly. Communication is adapted so that younger clients can express themselves in ways that feel natural, which may include art, play or story based exploration. When working with children and young people I will need the details of the parent or carer, as well as the name and contact information of the general practitioner. This helps ensure safety, safeguarding and good communication if further support is ever required. For young people who are older and more independent these details are still needed but the sessions remain focused on their privacy and emotional experience.

The first session is not a test. It is a foundation for our work together. You will have space to reflect, ask questions and begin to get a sense of the therapeutic relationship. My intention is that you leave feeling listened to and more hopeful about the journey ahead. If we agree to continue we will move forward at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of your needs.
