About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Deni, a Transpersonal and Integrative Psychotherapist.

have a Post Graduate Certificate and Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling and over 10 years of experience, working with people of different ages, nationalities, sexualities and backgrounds. My style is relational and creative, drawing on a range of approaches and therapeutic tools to meet you wherever you are on your journey.

Our sessions are collaborative. Think of me as a companion on your journey, sailing alongside you as you discover new possibilities and find greater clarity, resilience and connection in your life - with yourself, others and with life. In our work together, I may invite you to reflect on beliefs or values that no longer serve you, while supporting you in discovering new perspectives and ways of being. In some cases, I may draw on breath work, mindfulness or body awareness techniques - especially helpful if you’re navigating anxiety, stress and depression.

Depending on what supports you best, I may gently incorporate breathwork, mindfulness or body-awareness techniques. I may also invite you to try trauma-sensitive yoga within the session, offering a safe way to reconnect with your body. You are always in control.

I also offer Sandplay therapy, a powerful and nonverbal therapeutic approach that enables both children and adults to express and explore their inner world through symbolic scenes created with sand, water and miniature objects.

I believe therapy is most effective when it rests on three foundations: the presence and awareness of the therapist, the commitment of the client and the quality of the therapeutic relationship.

Therefore, I am committed to my own growth and learning, continually deepening my Psychotherapy, Mindfulness and Yoga practice through supervision, courses, workshops and retreats - integrating mind, body and spirit to better support you.

Practice description

Bring all of who you are - your struggles, your longings, your questions and your hopes.

Life has a way of shaping us, sometimes gently, sometimes through experiences that feel unrelenting and painful.

You don’t have to carry everything alone. I offer a safe and confidential space where your story can be heard with compassion, curiosity and without judgment. You are invited to make sense of what has happened, to explore the patterns that shape your life and to discover new ways of relating to yourself and the world around you.

One-to-one sessions, usually held once or twice a week. Short-term therapy (around 6–12 sessions) can help address immediate concerns and provide support with specific challenges.

Long-term therapy (over months or years) allows for deeper exploration of longstanding or complex issues, while fostering greater self-awareness and lasting change.

Together, we will agree on the pace and frequency of sessions to suit your circumstances.

Sessions are in person, over the phone, Zoom or FaceTime. Let me know what suits you best and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel like a big step and it’s natural to feel a mixture of curiosity, hope, or even nervousness. The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each.

During this initial meeting, we will explore what has brought you to therapy and what you would like support with. You are welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable. We may talk about your current challenges, such as anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, body image concerns, or other experiences that feel important to you.

I may also ask some gentle questions about your background, life circumstances and what you hope to gain from therapy. This helps me understand your needs and how I can best support you. Together we can begin to identify your goals and discuss how therapy might support your journey.

You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the therapeutic process, confidentiality, or the ways we might work together, including integrative psychotherapy, Sandplay therapy, mindfulness, or body-based practices such as yoga if appropriate.

The first session is not about having all the answers. It is simply a space to begin exploring your story at your own pace.

Taking the first step toward therapy is an important act of self-care and courage.
