About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor and work in line with the Â鶹ԭ´´ Ethical Framework, placing your wellbeing, safety, and autonomy at the centre of our work together.

As an integrative counsellor, I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I tailor therapy to you as an individual, drawing on different counselling approaches depending on your needs, experiences, and what feels most helpful for you.

I aim to offer a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and at your own pace. Our work is collaborative – you are the expert in your own life, and we work together to explore what is happening for you.

My approach is grounded in:

• Person-centred values, such as empathy, honesty, and respect

• An awareness of how past experiences can affect present feelings and relationships

• Exploring patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, where helpful

• A trauma-informed and grief-aware perspective, recognising the impact of loss and distress

Sessions may involve reflection, gentle exploration, and sometimes practical ways of coping, depending on what you bring and what feels right for you. There is no pressure to talk about anything before you are ready.

I work ethically and professionally, with regular clinical supervision, ongoing training, and clear boundaries to ensure safe and effective practice. We will regularly review how the counselling is going so the work continues to meet your needs.
