I offer online therapy sessions Monday to Friday, between 9:00 and 17:00 (CET). Working during the daytime supports a steadier, less rushed therapeutic process.
Online sessions allow you to attend from wherever feels most comfortable, at home, while travelling, or living abroad. Sessions take place via a secure video platform, with details sent in advance.
I aim to offer flexibility where possible, while maintaining a consistent rhythm that supports meaningful work. If you鈥檙e unsure whether daytime sessions fit your schedule, you鈥檙e welcome to get in touch and we can explore what鈥檚 possible.
About me and my therapy practice
I鈥檓 Catriona, a 麻豆原创-registered therapist working online with adults across the UK and EU. My approach is warm, steady, and relational, offering a grounded space where you can explore yourself at your own pace. Therapy with me is not a quick fix; it is thoughtful, depth-based work that supports meaningful and lasting change.
Much of my practice is informed by psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, humanistic, and Jungian perspectives. This means we look beneath the surface of symptoms to understand the emotional patterns formed early in life鈥攑atterns that can continue to shape anxiety, people-pleasing, self-criticism, or difficulties with boundaries. I support clients to gently reconnect with parts of themselves that may have been minimised or overlooked, helping them feel more grounded, whole, and self-connected.
I am especially attuned to working with people who appear capable on the outside yet feel stretched, unsettled, or quietly overwhelmed within. Many grew up in environments where emotions had to be managed, hidden, or toned down. These early adaptations can later show up as over-giving, self-doubt, or losing yourself in relationships. Together, we explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, allowing them to soften over time.
My own experience of building a life abroad deepened my understanding of how culture, family, and early emotional environments shape our identity and sense of belonging. This personal and professional journey informs the care, attunement, and thoughtfulness I bring to the therapeutic relationship.
At the heart of my work is the belief that inner struggles are not flaws but signals pointing toward unmet needs, outdated patterns, or parts of yourself waiting to be heard. Therapy offers space to meet these experiences gently and to grow into a more authentic, steady, and self-trusting way of being.
Practice description
My practice offers a calm, consistent space to explore the emotional patterns shaping your life. We work at a pace that feels safe and manageable, balancing insight with gentle depth. Some sessions may feel clarifying; others may feel tiring. Both are part of real, sustainable change.
I work integratively, drawing from person-centred, psychodynamic, and Jungian-informed approaches. We begin with what is happening in your life now, what feels stuck, overwhelming, or out of alignment, and slowly trace how current struggles connect to earlier emotional experiences. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we explore the underlying themes that influence how you relate to yourself and others.
Therapy often involves understanding unspoken emotional rules learned in childhood, such as the need to stay strong, responsible, or self-contained. These once-protective patterns can later lead to anxiety, over-thinking, people-pleasing, emotional exhaustion, or difficulty setting boundaries. As awareness grows, these patterns lose their hold, and a more grounded sense of self can emerge.
Our work may also include exploring dreams, images, metaphors, or memories that arise naturally in the process. These can offer valuable insight into parts of yourself that have been suppressed, dismissed, or shaped by early relational roles. The aim is integration鈥攏ot becoming someone new, but becoming more fully yourself.
As therapy unfolds, many people find they relate differently to themselves and to others. Boundaries feel clearer and more natural; choices become more intentional; relationships feel more mutual. Anxiety often softens as self-trust strengthens.
My style is thoughtful, steady, and collaborative. If you are seeking short-term tools or a highly structured, directive approach, this may not be the right fit. If you are ready for relational, depth-oriented work that supports you in growing beyond old patterns and reconnecting with your authentic self, we are likely to work well together.
My first session
Before starting therapy, we鈥檒l arrange a complimentary 20鈥30 minute discovery call. This is not a therapy session, but a gentle space to talk about what brings you here, what you鈥檙e hoping for, and how I work. It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether the fit feels right.
There is no pressure to share your full story. You鈥檙e welcome to speak only about what feels comfortable. I鈥檒l outline my approach and what working together might look like, including pace and boundaries.
This call is simply a starting point, a chance to notice whether you feel at ease, understood, and supported. If it feels like a good match, we can arrange an initial session. If not, that鈥檚 completely okay. Finding the right therapist matters.

About me and my therapy practice
English-Speaking Therapist in Sevilla | Anxiety, Stress, Low Mood, Relationships & Life Transitions
Hello, I鈥檓 Catriona, a UK-trained, 麻豆原创-registered therapist based in Sevilla, offering online therapy to English-speaking adults across Spain, the UK, and Europe.
I support clients experiencing a broad range of emotional and relational challenges, including:
鈥 anxiety, stress, and emotional overload鈥 low mood, sadness, or loss of direction
鈥 low self-confidence, self-esteem concerns, or self-doubt
鈥 relationship difficulties or recurring patterns
鈥 struggles with communication or expressing needs
鈥 overthinking, worry, or internal conflict
鈥 feelings of isolation, loneliness, or cultural adjustment
鈥 burnout, pressure, or constant tension
鈥 identity shifts, life transitions, or uncertainty about the future
Living abroad can amplify emotional experiences, many people describe feeling capable and independent, while inside they quietly struggle with worry, disconnection, or self-doubt. Therapy offers a confidential space to explore these feelings openly and without judgment.
Having a therapist provides a grounded, reliable space to unravel thoughts and emotions that feel tangled or overwhelming. A neutral sounding board can help you see patterns more clearly, understand what鈥檚 contributing to stress or confusion, and gently question beliefs that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we explore what鈥檚 working, what feels too heavy, and what may need attention or support.
Therapy can help you feel more anchored within yourself, more emotionally resilient, and clearer about your needs and boundaries. Over time, many clients begin to feel calmer, more connected, and better equipped to navigate relationships, transitions, and daily life, whether they are building a life abroad or adjusting to new challenges.
Practice description
As an English-speaking therapist based in Sevilla, I support adults across Spain, the UK, and Europe through online therapy.
My approach is relational, integrative, trauma-informed, and person-centred, offering a warm, steady space to explore whatever feels overwhelming, confusing, or emotionally heavy.
I work with clients experiencing a wide range of challenges, including:
鈥 anxiety, stress, and emotional tension鈥 low mood, loss of direction, or disconnection
鈥 relationship difficulties or repeating patterns
鈥 low self-esteem, confidence challenges, or self-doubt
鈥 loneliness or adjustment difficulties (especially living abroad)
鈥 communication struggles or boundary issues
鈥 overthinking, worry, and internal pressure
鈥 identity questions, life transitions, or changes in circumstances
Living abroad can intensify old patterns and bring up unexpected emotional layers. You may appear capable and independent while privately feeling isolated, overwhelmed, or unsure of yourself. Therapy provides a space where you don鈥檛 have to navigate these experiences alone.
Together, we explore your emotional responses, relationship patterns, and the beliefs that shape your sense of self. I offer both a grounded presence and gentle challenge, helping you notice what鈥檚 beneath the surface and see things you may not be able to recognise on your own.
Some sessions may feel soothing and reflective, while others may bring up deeper emotions or old experiences. Exploring what you鈥檝e been carrying can sometimes feel draining, this is normal. We move slowly, at a pace that honours your nervous system and your emotional capacity.
Over time, many clients feel more stable, more confident, and more connected to themselves. Anxiety softens, communication becomes clearer, boundaries strengthen, and relationships often feel more balanced. The aim is not to become a different person, but to feel more grounded in who you are, more present in your life, and more able to meet challenges with clarity and self-trust.
My first session
Before beginning therapy, we鈥檒l have a complimentary 20鈥30 minute discovery call. This isn鈥檛 a therapy session, but a gentle space to explore what brings you here, what you鈥檙e hoping for, and how I work. It鈥檚 an opportunity for you to get a sense of me and ask any questions, and for us both to consider whether the fit feels right. A good therapeutic relationship is essential, you deserve to work with someone you feel safe with, understood by, and comfortable being yourself around.
During the call, I鈥檒l invite you to share a little about what鈥檚 been going on for you. There鈥檚 no pressure to tell your whole story or go into anything before you're ready. We鈥檒l talk about what you鈥檇 like support with, what feels important for you right now, and what you hope might change or feel different over time.
I鈥檒l also explain my approach, what sessions can look like, and how we would work together, including pace, boundaries, and what support might feel like in practice. You鈥檙e welcome to ask anything you need, whether practical or emotional.
This call is simply a starting point, a space to check in with yourself and notice whether you feel seen, at ease, and supported. If it feels like a good match, we can arrange our first full session. And if not, that鈥檚 completely okay. The aim is for you to feel empowered and informed in choosing the right therapist for you. Your wellbeing, comfort, and autonomy always come first.
