About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my page. My name is Amy and I am a fully qualified Integrative Counselling Therapist based in Maidstone, Kent. I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
Being an integrative therapist means that I am able to combine many different approaches to your counselling session to explore your thoughts and feelings. I understand that everyone is different, therefore, I adapt my sessions to cater for my clients needs. Here are some of the approaches that I can use during the sessions; Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, and Play therapy.
Practice description
I understand that seeking help is not often easy, and taking the first step can be daunting. Many people can be feeling overwhelmed when suffering with their mental health and want to work through the struggles together. Others may simply feel that they do not know themselves and want to reconnect and enhance their personal growth. Whatever the reason is that brings you to counselling, be assured that I value and respect that my clients are unique. I am here to walk alongside you on your healing journey, without judgement.
My experience includes working with teenagers, young adults and adults. Men, women and transgender individuals.
My experience also includes working in two secondary schools. During my time at the schools, I gained the relevant skills and experience to negotiate working in different ways to ensure that my client's needs are met. I fully understand the importance of safety and protection of children.
I have an advanced DBS check and I am fully insured.

I offer a 20 minute telephone consultation free of charge. This is to talk about what brings you to counselling and for me to run through a quick assessment. During the assessment, there is a chance for me to answer any queries or concerns that you may have, and to see if you are happy to work together.
Each 50 minute counselling session after the initial telephone assessment is £40 and can be paid via cash , paypal or bank transfer.
