About me and my therapy practice
My passion for counselling is deeply rooted in my genuine desire to support people as they navigate life's ups and downs. I truly believe that counselling has the power to change lives, offering space for growth, healing, and self-discovery.
When you come to me for support, I listen with empathy, sensitivity, and without judgment. I am committed to understanding your unique story, and I warmly welcome you as you are. I am especially interested in how our early experiences shape who we become and continue to affect us throughout our lives. Having spent many years working with young people who have experienced trauma, I bring a deep awareness of how those early challenges can echo into adulthood. I have also valued the opportunity to support individuals affected by domestic abuse, helping them find strength, healing, and hope.
I take an integrative approach to counselling, blending person-centred, psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques. This allows me to tailor our work together, nurturing your strengths, helping you gain insight, and empowering you to make positive, lasting changes. My aim is to walk alongside you in your journey, offering compassionate support every step of the way.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am dedicated to upholding the highest professional standards whilst offering a safe, confidential space to talk, reflect, and grow at your pace
Practice description
Feeling comfortable, understood, and supported is essential for progress in counselling.
Building a good connection is at the heart of counselling. It’s so important that you feel comfortable and supported, because the relationship between counsellor and client really shapes the whole experience. To make sure we’re the right fit for each other, I offer a free 20‑minute chat — a chance to talk, ask questions, and get a feel for how working together might feel.
