About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor and member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MÂ鶹Դ´) I offer a warm, respectful and confidential space for you to explore whatever you are facing, at your pace, in your own way. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma or navigating loss, I am here to work alongside you.
My role is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace. I believe that meaningful change happens when you feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted. Rather than giving advice or telling you what to do, I work alongside you with empathy, curiosity and respect, helping you develop greater self-awareness, clarity and confidence.
Practice description
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs rather than working from just one therapeutic model. At the heart of my practice is a person-centred philosophy, based on the belief that you are the expert in your own life.
Where appropriate, I also offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT is a collaborative, compassionate and evidence-based approach that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions and behaviours. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and develop practical strategies that can lead to lasting positive change.
For clients who have experienced trauma or are living with Complex PTSD, I work from a trauma-informed perspective, ensuring that therapy is delivered with sensitivity, safety and an understanding of the impact that past experiences can have on the present.
Depending on your individual needs, I may also draw on other therapeutic approaches, including:
Psychodynamic therapy – exploring how early life experiences may influence your current thoughts, feelings and relationships.
Gestalt therapy – increasing awareness of your present experiences while recognising how the past can shape the here and now.
Transactional Analysis (TA) – helping you understand patterns of communication, relationships and the life scripts developed in childhood that may continue to influence your choices and interactions today.
Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) – where appropriate, using gentle eye movement techniques to help reduce the emotional impact of distressing memories, unwanted emotional responses and limiting patterns, supporting lasting emotional wellbeing.
By integrating approaches, I can tailor therapy to suit you as an individual, creating a flexible and personalised way of working which supports your goals and wellbeing.

Practice description
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than following a single way of working. At the heart of my practice is a person-centred approach, based on the belief that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace.
Where appropriate, I also offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT is a collaborative, evidence-based therapy that helps identify the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may be maintaining your difficulties. Together, we explore practical strategies and techniques to challenge unhelpful patterns and create meaningful, lasting change.
For clients who have experienced trauma, including Complex PTSD, I work in a trauma-informed way. This means recognising the impact that traumatic experiences can have while ensuring therapy feels safe, empowering and paced according to your needs.
As an integrative counsellor, I may also draw on other therapeutic models where they are likely to benefit your work, including:
Psychodynamic therapy – exploring how early experiences and relationships may influence your current thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
Gestalt therapy – increasing awareness of your present experiences and how unresolved issues from the past may be affecting your life today.
Transactional Analysis (TA) – understanding patterns of communication, relationships and the life "scripts" formed in childhood that can continue to influence decisions and interactions as adults.
Every client is unique, so together we will find the approach that best supports your goals, helping you move towards greater understanding, resilience and wellbeing.
