About me
Qualified Therapeutic Counsellor
Hello, I'm Renate. I'm an Integrative Counsellor and a Registered Member of the Â鶹Դ´. I started my journey to becoming a qualified counsellor when I realised how much counselling had helped me through my struggles.
I’ve worked with clients who identify as or have been diagnosed as neurodivergent and through my volunteer work and support work in the NHS I’ve gained a good understanding of the challenges neurodivergent clients face every day.
During my volunteer work for a crisis helpline I supported people who had reached a point in their lives where they felt their only choice was to end their lives. Working with you, I aim to create a relationship where you feel comfortable talking to me about what has brought you to reach out for help and support.
Alongside general counselling, I have experience of supporting clients dealing with grief, loss and bereavement having volunteered for a national bereavement charity.
My first session
In-person counselling
I provide face-to-face counselling in Hove, which is accessible by train, bus or car.
Online counselling
I also provide online counselling, for which you will need a reliable internet connection and a quiet, private space where you won't be disturbed during your session.
Individual counselling
When you make contact we will arrange a time to meet for your initial consultation, where you can talk to me about your needs from counselling and I can understand how best to support you. If I feel you would be better supported by other services I will signpost you to other organisations for support and advice.
If we are both happy to continue working together we can agree on a regular time for our sessions.
The most important element to our work together is our relationship and ensuring you feel comfortable and safe.
Session fee
A session is £60 for 50 minutes
