About me and my therapy practice

Hello, and welcome to Dare to Soar Therapy.

My name is Chlo毛, I help support people in the UK and internationally* who have suffered loss to cope with what has happened to them.

I wonder if any of these thoughts sound familiar:

o I feel as though I am living in a parallel universe that no-one understands鈥

o Since my loss, I don鈥檛 know who I am any more鈥

o I am so irritable and angry 鈥 I never used to be like this鈥

o At first friends and family were so supportive, but now people just expect me to 鈥榞et over it鈥 and I can鈥檛. I feel so alone鈥

o I just can鈥檛 see any light at the end of the tunnel鈥

If this is you, maybe I can help.

I appreciate that reaching out for help can feel really difficult, especially if you have tried before but not received the kind of support you were hoping for.

I am here to help you untangle the mess of emotions, thoughts and overwhelm.

I offer a place of safety and calm in the chaos where you can speak freely and without judgement.

I will walk alongside you, gently exploring everything together, and gradually you will move towards hope and healing.

As someone with my own grief story and journey through therapy, I get it.

You don鈥檛 have to do this alone.

*excluding USA and Canada

Practice description

I offer 1:1 support with compassion, understanding, warmth and calm; side by side, we can gently explore; working at your pace, I will provide a safe space, non-judgmental, inclusive, and individually-tailored support.

As an integrative therapist and therapeutic coach, I can offer a variety of ways to help you explore. If a particular style does not work for you, I will find another way that makes more sense or feels more comfortable.

Therapy Options

o Caf茅 Therapeutic Coaching (if suitable) in/near Chichester

o Online (zoom) counselling or coaching

o Walk & Talk Outdoor Therapy in the Chichester area

o Long term or short term

Which should I choose?

If you are unsure I would be to guide you in this decision but here are some pointers that might help you.

Coaching:

A blend of counselling and coaching offering practical goal-focused but empathic support to help you prioritise the seemingly endless tasks that have to be done in the days and weeks following the death of a loved one or a significant loss, underpinned by grief therapy.

Counselling:

Compassionate and empathic support through the journey of grieving to a place where hope begins to emerge and recovery seems possible.

My first session

The first step is to book a 15 minute free (no-obligation) exploratory video call or phone call to discuss the issues you are facing, get to know each other, make sure I am the right therapist for you and that you feel comfortable to move forward.

If you get the sense that we would work well together, I will invite you for an initial assessment session so that I can get to know you a little better and you can help me understand what life is like for you, and what kind of support you are hoping for.

If I ask you anything you don鈥檛 want to talk about, just let me know 鈥 I want you to feel completely at ease to say so.

After that, if you think we 鈥榗lick鈥, I will book you in for an agreed block of sessions.

If you change your mind about having therapy, that鈥檚 OK!

About me and my therapy practice

I wonder if you have you ever felt like this?

鈥淚 feel as if I am living in a parallel universe. How can people just go about life as if nothing has happened?鈥

鈥淣o-one gets me any more. I don鈥檛 recognise who I am any more. I feel unbearably alone鈥.

If this is you, I can help.

                                                         **

My name is Chlo毛 and I am a Christian Loss and Grief counsellor and therapeutic coach.

I appreciate that reaching out for help can feel really difficult, especially if you have tried before but not received the kind of support you were hoping for.

                                                    **

Why work with me?

Grief and loss can often feel unimaginably lonely and exhausting

Therapy, whether counselling or therapeutic coaching, can provide that safe, confidential place where you can finally be yourself and talk openly.

You don鈥檛 have to be brave or strong.

As someone with my own grief story, I offer compassion, understanding, warmth and calm support; Side by side, we can gently explore what is going on for you.

You do not have to face this journey alone.

Working at a pace that feels OK for you, whether you choose counselling or coaching, I am committed to providing non-judgmental, inclusive, individually-tailored support for anxiety, depression, trauma, overwhelm, self-esteem issues and everything else that comes with loss.

Whilst primarily specialising in loss and grief, I am also qualified to work with clients on many different issues, such as stress, burnout, PTSD, relationship breakdown, life transitions, anger management, OCD and phobias; please do enquire if you would like support in other areas as well.

If you are someone of another faith, or no faith, you are also very welcome. My sincere hope is that you will not feel judged or influenced by my faith, and you can still be you.
