About me and my therapy practice
I work with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and the lasting effects of trauma. If you’re stuck in patterns that aren’t working, feeling disconnected from yourself or others, or trying to make sense of a difficult experience, I can help.
My style is supportive and direct. Together, we look at what keeps you stuck: the patterns that repeat, the inner voices that shape how you see yourself, the roles you find hard to step out of, and coping strategies that may once have helped but now cause difficulties. As things become clearer, new choices and possibilities begin to open up.
How I work
The first phase of therapy is about understanding. I take time to get to know you and to understand what’s been happening, both internally and in your life, and what has led you to seek therapy at this point.
From there, we work together to find a shared focus for the therapy; what we are here to understand or change. I don’t rush this process, as what initially brings someone to therapy isn’t always the thing that is keeping them stuck.
Once that focus is clearer, we agree how we’ll work together, so the therapy has a sense of purpose, direction, and fit for you.
Background
Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in literature and television. I’ve always been drawn to stories; now I work with the ones that live inside people rather than on the page.
Experience
Alongside my private practice, I am the lead therapist in a residential therapeutic service working with complex trauma and attachment.
Availability
As my evening sessions are nearly fully booked, I’m now also offering some daytime and online sessions at £75. Weekend sessions are available at £85.
