About me and my therapy practice

I'm Sarah, a qualified neuro-affirming counsellor.

I have experience in death, dying, grief and loss, and also understanding what it is like to be neurodivergent.

Are you finding life difficult after the death of a loved one?

Are you struggling with a recent diagnosis?

Is anxiety ruling you life, and stopping you enjoying the moment?

Do you feel like you are dragging a really heavy emotional weight around?

If this is you then counselling can allow you to explore difficult emotions and feelings. Together we can work at your pace, allowing you to explore how you feel without judgement or expectation.

My approach is warm, steady and deeply human. I don't sit opposite you as someone with all the answers, but I may be able to give you a different perspective.

I don't expect you to know what to say, explain yourself perfectly, or have everything worked out. In fact if we sat in silence for a while, that would be ok too.

Practice description

Our work together will be collaborative, ensuring you get the most out of our sessions together. Counselling with me will be supportive, and gentle and sometimes challenging in a tentative way. This allows me to  tailor the way I work to suit you and the difficulties you may bring.

Sessions online or via the telephone can bring extra flexibility and may feel more comfortable, and it is your choice as to which of these platforms feels most comfortable.
