About me and my therapy practice
As a person-centred, integrative, and social justice-oriented psychotherapist, I work with adults and young people aged 16 and above, offering a safe and inclusive space. My practice is grounded in affirming and empowering clients to connect with their authentic selves, honouring the complexity of identity, embodiment, and lived experience. I'm a trans-affirmative therapist specialising in supporting gender-expansive and LGBTQ+ individuals.
Through a trauma-informed and intersectional lens, I aim to challenge normative structures while nurturing authenticity, resilience, and self-determination. I work collaboratively with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, sexual abuse, relationship challenges, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and issues related to substance use. I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent clients through an autonomy-respecting, client-led approach that avoids rigid or overly directive methods, instead prioritising emotional safety, creativity, and self-awareness.
My work is shaped by my background as a professionally trained actor. The emotional labour of acting is unique—demanding vulnerability, depth, and resilience while navigating uncertainty and scrutiny. Drawing on my training in the Stanislavski and Meisner methods, I bring embodied understanding to my therapeutic work with performers, offering a space where they can explore their inner world beyond the demands of performance, reconnect with their sense of self, and restore balance between artistry and wellbeing.
I hold a First-Class BA (Hons) in Counselling and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship from the University of Warwick, with acting training from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, The Oxford School of Drama, and The Neighborhood Playhouse. I have specialist training in Gender, Sexual and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) with Pink Therapy and Domestic Violence training through Family Intervention Crisis Services, and I volunteer with Mermaids UK.
Practice description
Therapy is about collaboratively creating a good space for the opportunity to become one's self. As a person-centred integrative therapist, my core aim is to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted—just as they are. I offer a therapeutic environment grounded in empathy, authenticity, and non-judgment, where individuals are supported in exploring their inner world at their own pace.
My approach values the uniqueness of each person and honours their capacity for growth and self-awareness. By integrating elements from various therapeutic models while staying rooted in the person-centred philosophy, I tailor the work to meet the specific needs of each client. This integration allows for a flexible and responsive process that supports autonomy and emotional safety.
In our work together, clients are invited to explore their experiences, emotions, and behaviours in a way that fosters deeper understanding and lasting change. I pay close attention to the therapeutic relationship, believing that a genuine and trusting connection is foundational for healing. Within this relationship, clients can safely examine patterns, uncover meaning, and reconnect with their sense of self.
Ultimately, my goal is to support people in becoming more aligned with their authentic selves—empowered to make choices that reflect who they truly are, and to live with greater clarity, connection, and confidence.
My first session
I offer a complimentary 20-minute phone call to explore what you're hoping to gain from therapy, to share a bit about how I work with clients, and to see whether we might be a good fit to work together. The therapeutic relationship is such an important part of the process, and this call is a chance for us to begin that conversation.
