About me and my therapy practice
Growth is rooted in connection. Therapy doesn’t have to focus solely on managing distress; it can also be about striving to live a more fulfilling life with meaning and purpose. Taking the step to seek out a counsellor who feels right for you is a brave one, and I’m here to help.
I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship difficulties, as well as those who feel emotionally stuck or disconnected from themselves or the world around them. Many of the people I support are thoughtful and self-aware, yet find that insight alone has not been enough to bring lasting change. My work focuses on depth, emotional clarity, and developing a stronger internal sense of self and direction over time. Our work together can support you in living more authentically through greater freedom, meaning, and personal responsibility. Solution-focused approaches to build on your strengths can be integrated to clarify what you want to change and support forward momentum.
My approach is person-centred at its core, grounded in humanistic values and a genuine curiosity about your lived experience. The therapeutic relationship is central to my work, offering a consistent and reflective space where experiences can be explored rather than rushed or managed. I work from a trauma-informed and relational perspective, with attention paid to early attachment patterns, unconscious processes, and the ways past relationships shape present difficulties.
I welcome adult clients of all genders, including LGBTQ+ individuals, from all backgrounds and beliefs. I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergence and with people navigating complex emotional or relational patterns.
Practice description
Sessions are 50 minutes long.
I can offer face-to-face appointments from a friendly Wellbeing Centre in Clarendon Park, Leicester, and a Health and Wellbeing Hub in Whetstone, Leicester. Online appointments are also available.
While person-centred counselling remains the foundation of my work, my training in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Parent-Child Therapy scaffolds my wider understanding. This includes an awareness of embodied and subconscious processes, as well as the impact of early relational experiences, where these are relevant to the work we are doing together. These interventions can be incorporated as a standalone option, or used integratively, where they may serve the therapeutic process. Should you wish to book standalone Hypnotherapy or Parent-Child Therapy, please state this in your initial enquiry.
We can work short-term or long-term, depending on your needs and wishes, and this can be reviewed at any point through collaborative discussion.
I invite you to visit my website and, if you wish, reach out for a free initial conversation to see if we’re the right fit.
