About me and my therapy practice

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, even pointless. You may have felt this way for a long time, or it may have come on after a change in your life. Talking to a therapist can help. For many people the honesty, support and the change that can happen makes it a worthwhile investment in themselves. But it isn’t always easy - and it isn’t cheap.

I don’t see anyone as broken or in need of fixing. There are always good reasons for the way you feel or behave - even if they’re not obvious to you. Together we can look at how past experiences still affect you now as well as ways you can break destructive patterns. You might be struggling in relationships or with a harsh internal voice that is always criticising you. I will support you to understand yourself better so you have more choices in your life; and to build healthier relationships — with others and with yourself.

Practice description

I have over a decade of experience supporting a diversity of people through traumatic and difficult times. I’ve worked with people affected by childhood and relationship domestic abuse, managed a national LGBTQ+ listening service, and more recently provided mental health support to people living with chronic allergic health conditions. These experiences showed me the power of honest conversation to bring about real change - and motivated me to train as a therapist.

I’m an integrative transpersonal therapist. I chose transpersonal therapy because it’s an optimistic approach—seeing you as more than your difficulties. Alongside talking, I may use visualisations, objects, writing, drawing, or imagination when I think it will help you.

I am trained to work with:

Depression

Domestic abuse

Gender and sexuality diversity

General Anxiety

Grief

Health Anxiety

Loss – divorce, break ups, job endings

Low self worth

Neurodiversity

PTSD

Suicidal thoughts

Trauma

My first session

I offer a sliding scale of £55- £70 per 50 minute session.

We start with a free mini online session. This will be between 15-30 minutes. This is a chance for me to understand what you need from therapy and for you to get a sense of whether you would want to work with me.

The next session will be more led by me and conversational, I will ask more questions than in a typical session about your life and experiences as a way to get to know you and confirm we are a good fit.

The third session will begin working on what has brought you into therapy.

My first session

The first step is a free 15–30 minute online session, where we can talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and how I work.

The second session is a relaxed, conversational space where I’ll ask questions to get to know you better and help you ease into therapy. It’s also an opportunity for us both to see if we feel like a good fit.

From the third session onward, we’ll begin working more deeply on the issues and themes that have brought you to therapy.

I offer a sliding scale of £55- £70 per 50 minute session.
