About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Bette.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, and finding the right therapist is an important step towards supporting your mental health and wellbeing. Reaching out can feel daunting, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful and positive change.
I’m a warm, compassionate, and empathic integrative psychotherapist based in South London, offering in-person, online and telephone therapy to clients across the UK. I place great importance on creating a respectful, non-judgmental, and supportive therapeutic relationship, where you can feel safe to explore whatever has brought you to therapy.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor the work to your individual needs. I am particularly influenced by a person-centred approach, placing you at the heart of the process and working collaboratively to ensure you feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we will explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you, building trust and self-awareness within a safe and compassionate space.
I work with adults and young people (16+), and I warmly welcome clients from the LGBTQ+ community. I support individuals experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including:
Anxiety and depression
Workplace burnout and career-related stress
Low self-esteem and self-doubt
Relationship difficulties
Family conflict
Low mood and behavioural changes
Menopause management
Chronic pain
Chronic illness
Visual impairment and blindness
Sexual identity
I believe deeply in the benefits of therapy and the difference it can make to our lives. If you feel ready to take the next step, I would be glad to hear from you and explore whether working together feels right.
Practice description
I offer integrative psychotherapy in-person, online or telephone allowing us to work together wherever you are, and in a way that is flexible and accessible to your needs. I have also completed the RNIB training in counselling for blind and visually impaired people, and I am qualified to provide therapy over the telephone in a confidential and secure setting. This ensures that therapy is accessible to all, whatever your circumstances.
With a background in photographic storytelling, I bring a deep understanding of human experience and narrative to my work. Therapy with me is about exploring your story, gently uncovering the challenges you face, and supporting you in finding new ways to make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of approaches tailored to your individual needs. My practice is grounded in warmth, empathy, and emotional support, with you at the centre of every session. Together, we will build a trusting, respectful relationship and work collaboratively to develop coping strategies, foster self-understanding, and support meaningful change.
I provide a fully inclusive space and welcome clients of all genders, ages, sexualities, religions, heritages, and abilities. My aim is to create a safe, compassionate, and professional environment where you can explore, grow, and feel genuinely supported on your journey.
My first session
Choosing a therapist can feel daunting, and it’s important that it feels right for you. I offer a complimentary 20-minute phone or video call so you can get to know me and see if we’re a good fit.
During this call, you can share what brings you to therapy and ask any questions you may have. If we decide to work together, we’ll arrange a convenient time for your first full 50-minute session.
In that first session, we’ll cover a small amount of practical details and then begin getting to know each other. Together, we’ll take the first steps toward exploring what’s happening for you, helping you better understand and manage your experiences.
This is your therapy. We work at your pace, focusing on what you want to explore when you’re ready. My aim is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel able to share your concerns and be fully heard.
