About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Mia. I offer weekly, in-depth psychotherapy for adults from my consulting room in Chiswick and online.

Most of my clients come to therapy feeling in some way overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure how to move forward. If you are struggling with relationships, family dynamics, life changes, illness or the impact of painful early experiences - I may be able to help. I have experience supporting clients from many walks of life and backgrounds, including survivors of domestic abuse and those navigating grief, loss or bereavement. I also work at The Royal Marsden Hospital, supporting patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Practice description

I work in an integrative and relational way, meeting you as a whole person - not a set of symptoms. My background as a yoga teacher helps me attend to both mind and body, supporting you to feel more interested in yourself and connected to others.

I know that starting therapy can feel like a big step. It’s okay to feel unsure. If something in what you’ve read on my profile resonates, I invite you to reach out. Send me a message and I'll reach out to arrange a free 15 minute phone consultation.

My first session

Therapy is different from most other services — it’s a process that unfolds over time. Once we decide to work together, we’ll usually meet weekly, at the same time each week. This regularity helps to create a sense of safety and continuity.

Sessions are normally held face to face, as being in the same room allows for a fuller sense of connection. However, if meeting in person isn’t possible, I also offer sessions online.

Therapy asks for a commitment — of time, attention, and financial investment. It’s completely normal to have mixed feelings about that commitment, or about starting therapy at all. These feelings are even something we can explore together. The consistency of showing up, even when it feels uncertain or challenging, often forms the foundation for meaningful change.

I often work with clients long-term, however, some people come with a specific focus, and we can agree on an initial number of sessions before reviewing together.

HOW TO GET STARTED

Exploratory call: I offer a free 15-minute phone call as an opportunity for us to briefly connect and explore what has brought you to consider therapy at this time. This is a chance for you to ask any questions you might have, and for us both to get a sense of whether it feels right to take the next step together. There is no pressure to decide anything during this call — it's simply a gentle starting point.

Introductory Session: You may then decide to book in for your first session where we can speak in more detail and also discuss the timeframe and set-up of your therapy. Introductory sessions are £80 and last 50 minutes.

After that sessions are usually held weekly at the same time. Occasionally I am able to offer more flexible arrangements.

I work with individual adults only.
