About me and my therapy practice

Hello, and welcome.

Even considering support takes thought and courage. Being here is an important step towards looking after your wellbeing.

I’m a fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor with a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a registered member of the Â鶹ԭ´´. I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds, helping them to find their way through all forms of life’s ups and downs - from anxiety, low mood & depression, grief and loss to relationship struggles, life transitions, identity questions, addiction, trauma, and those big 'what’s the point' or ‘what’s wrong with me’ moments we all can experience.

I know that starting therapy can feel daunting. You might feel nervous, unsure, or a bit awkward - that’s totally normal. But therapy doesn’t have to be heavy or intimidating. It doesn’t all have to be heavy silences and deep frowns. It can be open, surprising, creative, and sometimes even amusing.

For me, effective therapy isn’t rocket science, it’s all about attuned connection - a genuine, trusting relationship between two humans where you feel instinctively that you can be your true self. My approach is relational and down-to-earth. No jargon, no hierarchy, no judgement. I bring compassion, curiosity,  hopefully a little insight, honesty and a good dose of humanity to every session.

In a world that’s become noisier and faster, those simple moments of being heard, and understood can feel rare. My job is to create a space where you feel truly seen, perhaps for the first time in a while. For me, therapy is a place to slow down and discover a deeper awareness about yourself that perhaps you haven't been able to quite grasp in the past. I believe the strength and insight you need are already within you – effective therapy just helps uncover them.

Therapy can’t change the cards you’ve been dealt, but it can help you shuffle them differently - revealing new perspectives and  opportunities that you might not have seen before.

Practice description

I don’t work with a one-size-fits-all approach. We’ll work together in a way that suits you - your personality, your pace, and your goals. I’m an integrative therapist, which means I draw on a variety different approaches depending on what you need, including but not limited to:

• Person-centred therapy – We start with you. Your experiences, feelings, and insights lead the way.

• Psychodynamic work – We gently explore how past experiences and relationships may be influencing your thoughts, emotions, and patterns today.

• Gestalt techniques – This helps you become more aware of what’s happening for you in the present moment - physically, emotionally, and relationally.

• Solution-focused work - We look at what’s already working, your strengths, and what’s possible, helping you take practical steps towards the change you want.

• Transpersonal therapy - When, and if, it feels right, we can explore questions of meaning, purpose, and personal growth -connecting with something larger than day-to-day struggles.

I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds and have a particular expertise in young adults, who often tell me how disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain they feel in today’s  world. Therapy can be a grounding antidote to that - a gentle yet powerful reminder that real connection, with yourself and others, is still possible.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the commercial world and ran my own business, so I understand the stresses that come with modern working life . I’m also a mum to two young adults, which has taught me a lot about patience, humour, and resilience.

Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, reading, walking my dog, and spending time with friends and family.

If you’re looking for support, clarity, or just a safe space to untangle what sometimes might feel very messy, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute phone or video consultation - no strings attached. It’s a chance for you to ask any questions, see how we might work together, and consider whether we might be a good fit because finding the right therapeutic match really matters.

Thereafter, each session is 50 minutes in total. It is down to you how many sessions you feel you need and we can review this as we go along. I generally advise 6-12 sessions to start with on a weekly basis.

I work on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, in-person in SW4 and SW12 or online and can be flexible to suit. Please contact me to find out more.
