About me and my therapy practice
About Me
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´).
My own counselling journey gave me a deeper self-awareness, helping me to understand my needs and find my voice. This experience inspired me to retrain as a counsellor. Before this, I worked for many years in education, where I gained a strong understanding of the challenges that students, parents, and staff can face. These experiences deepened my desire to support people through difficult times and shaped my belief in the importance of being truly heard, accepted, and understood.
How Counselling Can Help
There are times when we all experience low mood, anxiety, relationship challenges, loss or other difficulties and need extra support. Seeking counselling is a courageous step and I strive to offer a warm, empathetic and safe space where you can feel heard and accepted. Together, we can explore the experiences you choose to bring at your own pace, helping you to make sense of what’s happening.
Counselling can provide a unique opportunity to reflect on your life, explore personal distress, or consider where you are now. The confidentiality of the counselling space means you can talk about things you might find difficult to share with friends or family.
Practice description
My Approach
As an integrative therapist, I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs, supporting you in the way that is most helpful. I see each person as a unique individual with a valuable voice - someone who already holds the answers within themselves, even if they feel difficult to access right now. As well as exploring your thoughts and feelings, we can gently explore your past to better understand your present life, relationships, and challenges. I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client — built on trust, warmth, and authenticity — is central to growth, healing, and deeper self-awareness.
My Experience
I have experience supporting clients with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, self-worth, identity, relationship challenges, grief and loss. Whether you are seeking counselling for a specific issue or simply need space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface, you don’t have to face it alone. You are welcome just as you are.
What I Offer
I offer one-to-one counselling, both online and face-to-face, on a short- or long-term basis depending on your needs and goals. I provide face to face counselling at Send Therapy Rooms.
If you would like to find out more about how I work or book an appointment, please get in touch by email, phone or message, and we can arrange a free 20-minute telephone call to discuss your needs and answer any questions.
