About Me

I have experience working with adults with a broad range of concerns including anxiety, depression, family issues, grief, abuse and trauma.

People seek counselling for many different reasons. Sometimes its because life feels overwhelming; other times it's a sense that something isn't right. Clients often come to me feeling anxious, low, stressed or overwhelmed. They may be struggling with low-self esteem or feeling stuck. Sometimes they come with a specific concern such as a traumatic experience, relationship issues or a major life change.

How Counselling Can Help

Counselling offers a safe, confidential space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind. There is no pressure to share more than you feel ready to. You may wish to explore current concerns and/or reflect on past experiences. Working collaboratively with a qualified counsellor to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences can help you to make sense of what’s going on, develop deeper self-awareness, and find a way forward. Some sessions may feel challenging, while others may bring relief or clarity.

My Approach

I see each person as a unique individual, with a voice that is valuable and deserves to be heard. As an integrative therapist, I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic and humanistic. I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet your individual needs. Together we can gently explore your experiences at your own pace, making sense and meaning of your difficulties, creating a deeper understanding of yourself and work towards bringing change and healing. As we work together through this often difficult process, I strive to create a safe space with warmth, empathy, respect and understanding.  

My first session

I offer both online and face to face counselling on a short- or long-term basis depending on your needs. I provide in person sessions at Guildford Therapy Rooms.

I offer a free 20 minute initial phone call, providing space for us both to ask questions, to give you an idea of how I work and to help us both decide if I am a good fit for you. I will ask a little more about yourself and your reasons for counselling. If you have any additional needs, we can discuss any necessary adjustments to make counselling more accessible and comfortable for you.
