About me and my therapy practice

Finding the right therapist who understands and accepts you is an important step in your counselling journey. I will meet you with warmth and empathy as I believe feeling safe is important for us to develop our therapeutic relationship.

Our sessions provide dedicated time for you to explore what is preventing you from living the life you desire. With my supportive presence, we can examine the beliefs and behaviours that have brought you to this point. Through increasing self-awareness, you may gain clarity in your sense of purpose for the next phase in life, as we work together to bring about meaningful change.

I work outdoors, providing walk and talk therapy, or from my beach room, or online or over the telephone.

Practice description

I'm a person-centred therapist, and will stay along side you as you reflect upon issues or experiences that may cause distress, or feelings of shame, anger or despair.

I will create a safe space that is free from judgement, where you will be valued and supported by my nurturing, empowering and compassionate approach.

We can experiment with creative therapy, including art, sand tray work, story telling and expressive writing, if this appeals to you. We work at your pace.

We can work from a beach room, if you would prefer to work inside, or we can work outdoors, in walk and talk therapy. The choice is yours, and we may switch between both approaches, if agreed in advance.

I believe working therapeutically in nature may provide a different perspective from which to consider the challenges you're facing. Previously as a client, I found it liberating to engage both body and mind by talking through difficult issues outside, being active rather than under the gaze of the therapist seated opposite.

However, I understand some clients may prefer working indoors, so I also work from a beach room, online or over the telephone.

Sessions are 50 minutes long.

I have several years experience in bereavement counselling with Cruse Bereavement, in a specialist role supporting people bereaved by suicide; I’ve worked with the Samaritans as an outreach worker in the community and therapeutically with first responders in the emergency services. I have previously worked with clients who are care-experienced, other-abled, or dual-heritage.

I hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Brighton (level 7) as well as a degree in French from the University of Sussex.

I’m a fluent French speaker and work therapeutically in French.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹ԭ´´), and follow their code of Ethical Practice. I have an enhanced DBS certificate.
