About me and my therapy practice
I offer a safe, compassionate, non-judgemental and calm space for you to feel valued and accepted in what you choose to bring to the sessions. I work integratively which means I draw on a range of psychological theories and approaches to find what works best for you.
I am trained at Masters level in person centred, psychodynamic, cognitive and behavioural approaches, and have further training in mindfulness-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
My qualifications and professional membership: MSc Counselling (Distinction), BSc Hons Class 1, MÂ鶹Դ´
Practice description
I will create the space for you to explore what is coming up at a pace that feels right for you.
We work together to gain a deeper understanding of what is coming up for you now, bringing curiosity and compassion to that experience to enable you to grow towards a life that is more fulfilled and meaningful for you.
My approach is holistic, with an understanding that our relationships, work, creative pursuits, and physical health are interlinked and influenced by our culture and environment, and to understand how our past experiences are impacting our lives now.
I work with an understanding of the interconnection of our inner world, and our body, in how we store and process emotions. This is particularly relevant with anxiety and nervous system regulation, and my approach is trauma- informed and focused on safety and building strategies for self-regulation, and using somatic (body based) approaches.
I am able to work with any mental health issue, but work particularly with anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, self-harm, relationship issues, parenting issues, family conflict, mid-life and menopause, life transitions, trauma, grief and bereavement.

I offer a free 30 minute telephone or online introductory session to outline what counselling can offer, to explain the process, and explore together if I am the right therapist for you.
