About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Seren - Thank you for visiting my page!
I know that searching for the right counsellor can feel like a big and sometimes overwhelming step...but it's also a powerful one.
Reaching out often begins with a sense of curiosity about yourself, and that in itself is the start of meaningful change.
I believe the heart of therapy lies in a comfortable, trusting relationship, where you feel heard, accepted, and supported without judgement. This is the kind of space I strive to offer each of my clients.
Counselling is not just my profession; it’s a true passion. I have deep belief in the therapeutic process and in each person’s potential for growth, healing, and change. With the right support, I believe we all have the capacity to lead fulfilling, balanced lives.
As a fully qualified Therapeutic Counsellor and Registered Member of the Â鶹Դ´, I offer integrative counselling and psychotherapy to individuals of all ages, on both a short- and long-term basis. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.
"I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become." – Carl Jung
Practice description
As a CPCAB-qualified Therapeutic Counsellor, I offer an integrative approach to therapy, blending Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Person-Centred, Psychodynamic. I also draw on modalities such as Transactional Analysis, depending on your unique needs and goals.
My work includes both talking therapy and creative approaches, as well as mindfulness-based techniques, allowing us to explore your experiences in ways that feel accessible and meaningful to you.
I believe that greater awareness of what drives our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours gives us the opportunity to create real and lasting change. By gently exploring and shifting unconscious patterns and emotional blocks, we can move closer to living in alignment with what we truly want and need.
Alongside private practice in Orpington, I am also a counsellor at Westmeria Counselling Services in Bromley, where I offer both low-cost and private counselling.
I have extensive experience working in specialist educational settings, offering therapeutic support to children and young people with a range of additional needs. Including Autism, ADHD and learning disabilities.
This work has deepened my understanding of how emotional wellbeing and learning are closely connected, and how important it is to create a safe, accepting space where young people feel seen, valued, and supported.
I’m especially passionate about working in ways that honour each person’s communication style, learning profile, and personal strengths, making therapy a respectful, inclusive, and empowering space.
If you’d like to see if my service feels right for you, I offer a free 20-minute phone call to explore how we might work together. Sessions are 50 minutes. Therapy can be short- or long-term, depending on your needs. please contact me for more details.
