About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or reacting to people and events in ways that don’t feel like you? Do you experience emotions or situations that feel too much to manage? You are not alone. I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can feel understood and supported as you make sense of your challenges and move forward.
I’m a British-Swiss Psychological Counsellor and work in person in Zürich and online with clients across the UK and internationally. My style is warm, intuitive, and collaborative, shaped by experience in counselling, clinical audiology, research, corporate life, and 20 years of parenting and life abroad.
In my earlier career as a clinical audiologist, I supported children, adults, and families with hearing, balance, and communication challenges. These experiences laid the foundation for my interest in psychological and relational aspects of health, which continue to shape my counselling.
Approaches I use:
- Person-centred and humanistic counselling
- Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Narrative therapy, systems and existential perspectives
- Strengths-based and growth-focused work
- Somatic tools such as grounding and breathwork
Qualifications:
- MA (Hons) Counselling – Webster University, Geneva
- ADHD & Neurodiversity Coach Certification – NSNS, Switzerland
- MSc Audiology & BSc (Hons) Psychology – University of Southampton
- Certificate of Audiological Competence (BAA, UK)
- Registered Clinical Scientist (Audiology) – UK HCPC
Professional memberships:
- Â鶹Դ´ – British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
- SGfB – Swiss Association for Counselling
- ACA – American Counselling Association
- NSNS – Neurodiversity Support Network of Switzerland
- BAA – British Academy of Audiology

Special interests:

- Supporting neurodivergent people in a neurotypical world
- Cultural transitions and relocation
Practice description
There is no one-size-fits-all in counselling. My practice is trauma-informed, client-centred, and neurodiversity-affirming — meaning I respect and support the many ways people think, feel, and experience the world. My work is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and a belief in your capacity for growth.
How I work:
- Face-to-face sessions in Zürich
- Online sessions via secure video
- Walk & talk therapy in nature
Values at the heart of my practice:
- Compassion – bringing light to what has been hidden or judged
- Resilience – strengthening your inner resources
- Connection – to yourself and to others important to you
- Awareness – recognising the mind–body connection
- Purpose – working together with meaning and direction, guided by your goals
Languages & perspective:
I am British-Swiss and work primarily in English, with additional skills in B2-level German and introductory British Sign Language. Having lived across cultures for over 20 years, I bring cultural sensitivity and respect for identity, transition, and belonging.
What to expect:
- A free 20-minute consultation to explore your needs
- One or two initial sessions to understand your history and goals
- Ongoing counselling, usually weekly or fortnightly, with regular reviews to check progress
- Sessions last 50 minutes and can be short-term or longer-term, tailored to your needs
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can ask questions, share what brings you to counselling, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. There is no obligation to continue — this time is about you deciding if I am a good fit for your needs.
If you choose to begin, our first session lasts 1.5 hours. This extended time means we can explore your needs fully without feeling rushed, begin building a safe, trusting relationship, and discuss your history, current challenges, strengths, and hopes for therapy.
Some clients arrive with a clear focus, while others simply know that something needs to change; both are welcome. Together we will begin shaping your goals for therapy, whether short-term and focused or longer-term exploration.
I will also explain how I work, including confidentiality and practical arrangements, so that you know what to expect. My approach is collaborative and paced to your comfort. Rather than giving advice or quick fixes, I aim to offer a calm, compassionate space where you feel heard, supported, and respected as you begin your counselling journey.
