About me and my therapy practice

I’m a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor offering short and long term therapy across Brighton and Hove both in person and online. My work is trauma-informed and rooted in compassion, supporting adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, stress, and relational difficulties.

My approach is deeply empathic and nurturing, blending warmth with thoughtful challenge. I offer a confidential space where you can feel held with care as you reflect, engage with difficult emotions, and begin the journey toward meaningful and lasting change.

Practice description

I work from the belief that many of our struggles stem from early experiences and relationships, and that healing and meaningful change occurs within a safe and trusting therapeutic connection. I therefore bring together psychodynamic insight with a relational approach, gently supporting clients as they explore the emotional and relational patterns that influence their lives. In our work together, we look closely at what might be holding you back from a fuller, more fulfilling life.

I support clients in reconnecting with their inner vitality and nurturing deeper, more joyful relationships. As this connection strengthens, many find themselves engaging with life in a fuller, more present way—able to receive love, connection, and experience with greater ease and authenticity. This shift often brings a renewed sense of possibility, emotional freedom, and a richer experience of being in the world.

Having worked for over 15 years with complex children and adults in a variety of health settings, including the NHS and children's services,  my approach is reflective and trauma-informed, with care for the complex emotions that may surface throughout the therapeutic process.

My first session

Our first session is a gentle starting point—an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what’s brought you to therapy. It’s a space to talk through what’s on your mind, share what you’re hoping for, and begin laying the foundation for a trusting therapeutic relationship.

We’ll begin by looking at your personal history, current challenges, and any emotional or psychological concerns you’d like to address.

Our pace will be guided by what feels right for you, and you’re welcome to ask questions at any point. I work relationally and collaboratively, meaning your voice and experience are central to everything we do. This first meeting is also a chance for you to get a sense of how I work and whether it feels like the right fit for you.

By the end of our session, we’ll have begun to shape a clearer picture of your goals and how we might move forward together in support of your healing and growth.
