About me and my therapy practice
I bring a warm, anti-discriminatory, and open-hearted approach to my practice. This is a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you and I will move through whatever you are facing together, including aspects of your experience that may feel dangerous or unspeakable.
People are more unique than a single perspective can contain. My therapeutic approach is integrative which means I'm trained to draw from a broad theoretical basis including humanistic and existential models, somatic and trauma-informed psychotherapies, and psychodynamic and contemporary psychoanalytical frameworks.
I work in an embodied, relational way. This means that I use somatic practices to recognise and explore relational patterns. We are all formed in and of relationship, and we’ll access this innate capacity for transformation through the relationship we build together.
I work with individual adults (18+) from diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds, facing a wide range of issues. This includes people with complex developmental trauma, people who have multiple psychiatric diagnoses, people with visible and invisible disabilities, and trans, non-binary, and neurodivergent folks.
Some of common themes across my work include: abuse, addiction, ADHD, anxiety, autism, BDSM, bereavement, childhood trauma/complex developmental trauma, compulsion, depression, diagnosis, disability, discrimination, dissociation, eating disorders, gender and sexual relationship diversity, gender dysphoria, gender identity, insomnia, kink, loss, low self-esteem, marginalisation, medical trauma, neurodivergence, obsession, parenting, pathologisation, phobias, polyamory / ethical non-monogamy, psychiatric illness, PTSD, psychosis, queerness, relationship problems, religion, self-harm, sexuality, shame, spirituality, stress.
I trained at trained at the Minster Centre, one of Europe’s leading institutions for Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling.
Practice description
Seeking therapy is a wise and courageous step, but you needn’t know anything about the process or have anything prepared—come as you are, and the rest will unfold as we get to know one another.
