About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Katie, and I know just how daunting it can be to start looking for a therapist.

Perhaps you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or increasingly overwhelmed? Or maybe you’re looking for some extra support as you navigate the challenges of parenting, relationships, or your career.

If so, I am a warm and compassionate therapist with a special interest in women’s mental health and wellbeing.

By offering a calm and judgement-free space, I can support you as you explore and make sense of what’s going on in your life.

I work in-person from comfortable therapy rooms in Surrey (clinics in Weybridge and East Molesey), as well as online across the UK.

Practice description

My therapy approach is both collaborative and empowering. I hope to help you build more self-understanding, and develop coping tools for the future.

I offer support for a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, work stress, and parenting challenges. I especially understand how the challenges and life transitions that we go through can impact our sense of identity and self-esteem.

I have a particular interest in neurodivergence, and have completed a specific training course so that I can better support clients who have – or think they may have – adult ADHD.

As a trauma-informed therapist, I have worked at depth with people who have experienced significant trauma, both during childhood and later in life.

I am an integrative therapist, which means that I use a variety of counselling theories and techniques. Sometimes this involves focussing on the present, while at other times it may be useful to examine patterns from the past to see how they might still be impacting you today.

My first session

Research shows that counselling works best when a client and therapist have a good therapeutic relationship, and so it's really important that you find the right person to talk to.

As a result, I offer a free 15-minute call so that you can ask me any questions, and get more of a sense of how I work. You can then decide whether you would like to go ahead and book a full session.
