About me and my therapy practice

What if you could return to finding joy and satisfaction in life?

When we're at a low ebb it can be hard to ask for help. We don't want to be a burden or let others down. Sometimes we push away the people we love. Or we turn to drink or drugs. Part of us knows this isn't serving us but we seem to find ourselves doing it anyway.

I can guide you through this difficult passage toward calmer waters. From this stillpoint we can discover what moves you by locating your internal compass and trusting it to guide you. Slowly but surely you can reorient and navigate once again toward the things that matter most to you.

I'm a Â鶹ԭ´´-registered counsellor with a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling. My practice is rooted in Psychosynthesis - a psychology of hope that explores both your wounding and your potential.

I specialize in:

  • Addiction recovery and substance use
  • Major life transitions (career changes, relationship endings, midlife questioning)
  • Loss of meaning or purpose
  • Families affected by addiction

I work at a residential addiction treatment centre and maintain a private practice in Northampton and London. I also bring eighteen years of experience in 12-step recovery communities, which informs my understanding that recovery is about discovering who you are and who you can become.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent twenty years at IBM in management and leadership roles, coaching people from recent graduates to seasoned executives. Everyone, I discovered, needs a bit of help from time to time.

Practice description

My Approach

Psychosynthesis is a depth psychology that works with the whole person - what shaped you, how you live now, and what calls you forward. This isn't about quick fixes or managing symptoms. It's about understanding yourself more fully and discovering what truly matters.

Sessions may include talking, dream work, and guided imagery - using both conversation and imagination to access what words alone can't reach. The work addresses both depth (understanding what holds you back) and height (discovering your potential and purpose).

How I Work

I offer in-person sessions in Northampton and London, as well as online sessions. My practice focuses on creating a safe, confidential space where you can explore difficult questions without judgment.

I work with:

  • Young adults struggling with direction and workplace challenges
  • Mid-career professionals facing transitions, burnout, or loss of meaning
  • Individuals in addiction recovery
  • Families affected by addiction

My Background

I hold a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling from the Institute of Psychosynthesis / Middlesex University and I'm currently completing my Masters in Psychotherapy (graduating 2027). I'm also an EMCC-accredited coach and serve on the faculty at Psychosynthesis Coaching Limited, where I teach trainee coaches.

My eighteen years of experience in 12-step recovery communities and twenty years in management and leadership roles give me a grounded understanding of both professional pressures and the deeper questions people face about meaning, identity, and what truly matters.

My first session

Getting Started

You don't have to have all the answers before we start. Sometimes just knowing something needs to change is enough.

I offer a free 15-minute call so we can talk and see if it feels right. There's no pressure - it's simply a chance to ask questions and get a sense of how I work. If you're ready to begin, I'd be honoured to guide you.

The First Session

Our first session is 90 minutes (charged as one standard session). This extended time gives us proper space to:

  • Talk about what's brought you here
  • Explore what you're hoping to discover or change
  • Discuss how Psychosynthesis therapy works
  • Address practical questions about fees, frequency, and confidentiality
  • Begin the work without feeling rushed

Ongoing Work

After the first session, we'll discuss what regular therapy might look like - whether weekly, fortnightly, or something else that fits your needs. Regular sessions are 60 minutes.

There's no obligation to commit beyond the first session. Some people find it helpful to have one or two sessions before deciding on ongoing work, and that's absolutely fine.

Confidentiality & Ethics

My practice is confidential and follows Â鶹ԭ´´ ethical guidelines. I maintain professional indemnity insurance and receive regular clinical supervision.
