About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I鈥檓 Samantha Chater, a 麻豆原创 registered counsellor and hypnotherapist with many years of experience supporting people through life鈥檚 ups and downs. I provide a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly, whether you鈥檙e living with loss, feeling anxious or stressed, stuck in a rut, or unsure of who you are anymore. My style is warm and straightforward, helping you make sense of what鈥檚 happening and begin to see a way forward.
I don鈥檛 believe therapy is about quick fixes. For me, it鈥檚 about lasting change through self-awareness and understanding. I work alongside you to explore the pressures you鈥檝e been carrying and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Some people prefer counselling on its own, while others find it helpful to include hypnotherapy for relaxation, confidence, or support with change. However you choose to work, my aim is always to help you feel more grounded, more confident, and more connected to yourself.
Perhaps you鈥檝e spent years putting others first, keeping everything going and somewhere in that, lost touch with yourself. On the outside, you keep showing up, but inside you may feel anxious, unseen, or like you鈥檝e drifted away from who you really are. Loss and change can shake the foundations of how we see ourselves. Grief isn鈥檛 only about losing a loved one, it can also be the quiet grief of losing health, direction, or belonging. These moments often bring painful questions: Who am I now? How do I move forward when everything feels uncertain?
Counselling gives you the chance to pause and breathe, away from the pressure to be 鈥渇ine鈥 for everyone else. Together we can explore the weight you鈥檙e carrying, the anxiety that loops in your mind, and the parts of yourself that have been left behind. This isn鈥檛 about rushing change, it鈥檚 about finding steadier ground, making sense of your story, and reconnecting with what feels real and important to you.
