About me and my therapy practice

Are you looking for a confidential space to discuss your feelings, worries, and difficult experiences without fear of judgment?

As a qualified person-centred counsellor, I will work together with you to best meet your therapeutic needs in the time we share together by providing a confidential space for difficult emotions, and a place to creatively explore your inner world. I will listen attentively with warmth and kindness and help you to explore and express emotions like anger, depression, and anxiety and develop skills for self-reflection and awareness that you can use in your everyday life. Our counselling sessions together will provide a platform to help strengthen communication and boundary-setting skills, increase your self-worth and self-confidence and improve healthier connections with partners, family, friends or co-workers. Previous clients have approached therapy with me for help and support with trauma, addiction problems, relationship worries, anger issues or have suffered a loss or bereavement. There are many reasons people come to me as their counsellor and there is no limit to what can be discussed in therapy.

Practice description

Before training as a counsellor, I worked in a variety of support roles, including a helpline operator for a domestic abuse service and supporting victims of sexual abuse or rape, at the Sexual Assault Referral Centre. Over the years I have expanded my knowledge and understanding of trauma and found a passion for working creatively, supporting others to explore and reconnect with their authentic selves, integrating the therapeutic arts, visualisation, mindfulness and grounding techniques.

My private practice, near to Loose Village, Maidstone, is based in natural surroundings; a standalone purpose-built room amongst nature, which provides a sense of calm and brings focus to the present moment. Free private parking is available.

My first session

As we embark on our counselling journey together, the first session will provide a platform to get to know each other and begin to set intentions for your therapy. We will explore what has brought you to counselling, what you’re hoping for and what is important to you.

This important process enables us to gather valuable information to aid our work together.
