About me and my therapy practice
inding the right therapist can feel daunting, especially when life feels overwhelming. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.
I’m a qualified counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´), working with adults aged 18 and over. At the heart of my practice is the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and valued for who they truly are. I see therapy as a collaborative process, shaped around you.
I offer a confidential, open, and supportive environment where we will explore what is happening for you and how this is impacting your daily life. I hold the therapeutic relationship as central to the work we do, as it is often through feeling truly understood and accepted that meaningful change becomes possible.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring my work to meet your individual needs. I work relationally, building a genuine and trusting connection that can support growth, healing, and change.
Alongside talking therapy, I also offer creative and nature-based approaches, including walk-and-talk sessions and the use of the arts. These can provide alternative and accessible ways to express experiences that may feel difficult to put into words.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, or life transitions, I’m here to support you in finding balance, building resilience, and navigating life’s challenges with greater clarity, compassion, and well-being.
Practice description
I am a qualified Humanistic and Integrative counsellor/therapist, drawing on a range of therapeutic models including Person-Centred therapy, Transactional Analysis (TA), and Gestalt. My work is holistic, integrating both mind and body, and is tailored to your individual needs, challenges, and circumstances.
Alongside talking therapy, I also offer creative and nature-based approaches, including walk-and-talk sessions and the use of the arts. These can provide accessible ways of expressing experiences that may be difficult to put into words. Walk-and-talk sessions take place along public pathways and through fields, so suitable outerwear and footwear are recommended.
My practice is based in Baughurst, Basingstoke, and Winchester. The therapy spaces are bright and welcoming, with natural light and comfortable seating to support a calm and relaxed environment. Walk-and-talk therapy can also be offered from all three locations.
Free parking is available in Baughurst and Basingstoke, with parking charges in Winchester. Public transport links are available for both Basingstoke and Winchester.
My practice integrates a range of therapeutic approaches, selected according to what feels most helpful for you. This may include Person-Centred exploration of past experiences and how these may be impacting the present, alongside insights from Transactional Analysis and Gestalt to support greater awareness, choice, and change.
Where appropriate, I also use CBT-based techniques to offer psychoeducation and practical strategies that can help challenge unhelpful thought patterns and support you in aligning with your future goals and intentions.
My first session
I understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s important that you feel comfortable and supported from the very beginning. To help with this, I offer a free 30-minute introductory call or online session. This allows you to get a sense of who I am and how I work, and to ask any questions you may have before deciding whether you’d like to begin therapy. It’s a gentle, informal space where you can share a little about what’s been bringing you to therapy, at a pace that feels right for you. There’s no expectation to go into great detail, and no pressure to commit — it’s simply a chance to see whether working together feels like a good fit.
