About me and my therapy practice

My name is Cressy. I’m a qualified Person-Centred counsellor, and I’m currently in training to become a psychotherapist.

At my core, I’m a Person-Centred Counsellor. My approach is warm, empathetic, and down-to-earth. My psychotherapy training is in Transactional Analysis (TA), which I chose because I’m fascinated by how we relate to others, our partners, families, children, and colleagues, and how those relationships shape our wellbeing.  I believe that happiness in life comes from genuine connection. When our relationships don’t feel safe, supportive, or fulfilling, it can be really hard.

I started this journey because I have a real passion for listening to people’s experiences and helping them make sense of why they feel the way they do. My role is to support you and help you move forward to a place where life feels more manageable, while making sense of what has been hard. Whether you’re feeling low, anxious, struggling in a relationship, or just have a sense that something’s off, I’d love to hear your story and support you towards change, in a space that feels calm, supportive, and free of judgment.

Clients often tell me that I’m warm and kind, and that they feel safe talking with me, which means a lot, because feeling safe is where real change begins.

I work with adults from all walks of life, people who might feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, and who want to understand themselves better or find a way forward that feels more true to who they are.

Alongside my private practice, I also work with a domestic abuse charity, supporting people to make sense of what they’ve been through and to begin rebuilding confidence, safety, and self-trust after difficult relationships. I find this work a real privilege, witnessing people’s courage and growth as they start to reconnect with themselves and their lives.

Practice description

While my training informs my work, I believe the most important part of counselling is the relationship between us. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, valued, and accepted just as you are.

Areas I Work With

Depression – offering space to talk through feelings of emptiness, sadness, or hopelessness.

ADHD – helping clients explore how it affects daily life, relationships, and self-esteem, and finding ways to manage challenges.

Family issues – supporting you to navigate conflicts, communication difficulties, or repeating patterns that may feel stuck.

Low self-esteem – working together to build confidence and a stronger sense of self-worth.

Types of clients I work with: Adults

Designation: Person-Centred Counsellor | Trainee TA Psychotherapist | Â鶹ԭ´´

My first session

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, so I offer a free initial session to help you get a sense of what it’s like to talk with me. This session is an opportunity for you to share what’s brought you here, ask any questions, and see whether it feels like a good fit to work together.

There’s no pressure and no expectation to have everything figured out, we’ll go at your pace. My aim is to create a space where you can begin to feel comfortable, supported and heard as you start your counselling journey.
