A session with me provides:
鈥 A safe, confidential & non-judgemental space for you to come just as you are.

How it works:
鈥 We can work together to explore where you are at right now, how you got here, and how to get you to where you want to be.
鈥 During our work together, I will invite you to look inwards 鈥 with each session, we can look deeper than just beneath the surface. We can look deeper into who you are, and where you might be feeling stuck, blocked or confused.
鈥 We can approach this without judgement or shame, but with curiosity, and kindness.
鈥 Some questions we might reflect on might be: "how have you been feeling lately?", "what do you think might be causing this feeling?", 鈥渨hat has changed for you recently?鈥, "is there something you find challenging about yourself or your situation?", 鈥渨hat do you like/dislike about yourself?鈥, 鈥渨ho are you at your core?", "what is it that people don't understand about you or what you are going through?"...
鈥 Once we find out the answers to some of these questions, we can work towards getting you to where you want to be, and help you to move forward.
Practice description
Unlike the NHS, I offer open-ended therapy, meaning that there is no strict limit on the number of sessions you can have with me. We will work together to find a number that is right for you.
In the past, I have worked within an NHS counselling setting, and a few private counselling organisations.
I have worked with different issues and emotions such as self-esteem, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, overwhelm, issues with control, feelings of shame, guilt, anger, frustration, fear, 鈥減eople-pleasing鈥, not feeling 鈥済ood enough鈥, 鈥渇inding a voice鈥, setting boundaries, trust issues, sadness, grief, trauma, pregnancy, motherhood, severe pregnancy sickness (Hyperemesis Gravidarum), miscarriage, abortion, sexual issues, medical issues, being a carer, disability, neurodiversity, job loss, faith, sexuality, attraction, identity, divorce and relationship breakdown, attachment issues, fear of the 鈥渦nknown鈥.
I am trained to work intergratively. This means that I can draw on several different theories and approaches in our sessions together, and I tailor the session to you. In this way, we can work flexibly to find the best way for you. Sometimes we might talk about the past to discover how you came to be the person that you are today. Sometimes we will look at the present 鈥 what is going on for you right now? And sometimes we will look at creating goals for the future, and breaking these down to be more manageable. The beauty in the way that I work is that it is completely centred around you and what you bring to the sessions, and the ways in which you are comfortable working with me. Some of the approaches I may use include person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT, or other.
