About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Lucy and my pronouns are she/her.
I am a person-centred, pluralistic counsellor, and my approach with clients is rooted in the powerful healing and movement that can take place for all of us when we are met with genuine warmth, acceptance and understanding.
My practice is neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
I have experience of supporting clients with a range of issues such as: grief/loss, relationships, family dynamics, sexuality, health, work, trauma, shame/guilt, anxiety, depression and neurodiversity.
In addition to my private practice, I volunteer with a local hospice as a pre-bereavement and bereavement counsellor.
Practice description
I offer in-person sessions in Worthing (BN14), Durrington (BN13) and Steyning (BN44), as well as online and telephone sessions. Both short-term and long-term counselling available.I’m committed to creating a warm, inclusive and safe space for all: I welcome people from all walks of life, and I honour the many ways we can experience identity, neurodiversity, and ability. In our sessions, I will work with you to uncover your own internal wisdom in a collaborative way that is free from negative judgement and that responds to your individual needs. Together, we’ll go at your pace, talking about what feels most important to you. I’ll listen with care and support you to find clarity, new ways of coping, and a stronger connection to yourself.
I work creatively and collaboratively: Alongside talking therapy, some clients find it helpful to bring into their sessions activities such as music/sound, photography/pictures, mark-making/writing, breathing/mindfulness techniques, accessing nature and more. I will work with you to understand your unique way of being and we will find out together what works best for you.
My first session
We’ll start with a free 30-minute introductory call so you can get a feel for me and decide if working together feels right.
If it feels like a good fit, we’ll arrange our first session, agree a contract for working together, and I’ll share my data protection & privacy policy.
From then on, our time together in sessions will focus on what matters most to you—whether it’s a ongoing issue or whatever you bring into the room that day.
