I work 10-4 in Dundee and 10-12 in St Andrews on Tuesday and Thursday. I also have some evening and afternoon availability to suit your needs.
About me and my therapy practice
We all need someone to talk to when we face the challenges that life throws at us. Counselling provides the opportunity to share in confidence whatever is troubling you. We will work together to explore how to move towards better days.
Practice description
My journey into counselling began in my 20s when a neighbour talked about some difficult things in her life. Over many conversations, she opened up about her childhood and the way her experiences were continuing to impact her adult life. Seeing the connection between life experiences and the impact they can have on us sparked a desire to understand more.
I have been helping people pastorally for 25 years and recently completed a Master’s degree in counselling. These life and professional experiences have given me the backbone and competence I need to help you.
I recognise and respect that each of my clients is unique. I will listen to you with acceptance and compassion, taking time to understand your needs clearly. I believe that the relationship we build is at the heart of enabling you to progress towards better days.
I can also offer counselling from a Christian perspective, should that be something you would like.
My first session
Your first session allows you to meet me and to ask any questions you may have. I will listen to you with compassion and without any judgement as you share what your hopes are for counselling. It is then up to you to decide if you feel comfortable talking with me.
