About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Rosie.
I am a therapeutic counsellor working in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. I offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore the challenges you’re facing, at a pace that feels right for you.
I have a special interest in working with people experiencing anxiety, grief and the impacts of past trauma. Alongside my private practice, I also support clients through a local bereavement charity, which deepens my understanding of the many ways people experience and process loss.
My approach is grounded in warmth, empathy, and a deep respect for your individual journey. Whether you’re feeling unsettled, overwhelmed, anxious or low, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion — helping you make sense of your experience and move toward a place of greater ease and self-understanding.
My first session
During our first session my priority is creating a safe welcoming space where you can feel at ease. I am there to listen with compassion and without judgment as we discuss what has brought you to therapy. My intention is for you to feel seen.
It’s completely natural to feel a little nervous before your first session, especially if you’ve never had counselling before. The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, explore your wants and needs from counselling and to establish whether we can work well together. If you have questions about therapy and the counselling process this is a great opportunity to ask and explore.
Each session lasts for 50 minutes. During our first session we will discuss your previous experiences of counselling, what you hope to gain from the sessions together - as well as discussing confidentiality and the counselling process.
You do not need to prepare anything in advance, but it can be helpful to think about the issues you want to discuss and what you’d like to achieve from our work together.
