About me and my therapy practice

You may be holding things together on the outside - for family, for work, for friends - but inside it feels like a private struggle. Maybe you’re exhausted from trying to cope alone, or frustrated that no matter what you do, the same patterns keep showing up.

I work with people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. Some of the areas I support clients with include:

• Neurodivergence & overwhelm

• Addiction & compulsive patterns

• Food & eating challenges

• Body image & self-perception

• Grief & loss (including pet bereavement)

• Trauma and its impact

When we work together, I won’t give you a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I draw on a range of therapeutic styles - humanistic, person-centred, psychodynamic, existential, and Gestalt - blending them to create the kind of therapy that feels right for you.

My role is to adapt to your needs: some sessions may feel more reflective and exploratory, others more focused and practical. Therapy with me is always collaborative, flexible, and centred around what matters most to you.

Most importantly, therapy doesn’t have to feel like an endless struggle. Together, we can find a way forward that helps you feel lighter, more in control, and more connected to yourself again.

Practice description

I offer sessions in-person, online, or by telephone - whatever feels most comfortable and convenient for you. My counselling room is private, welcoming, and discreet, based within a professional office setting to ensure confidentiality and safety at all times.

People come to therapy for many reasons: to reflect, to process experiences, to make changes, or simply to have a safe space that’s just for them. However you arrive, you’ll be met with understanding and support.

You’re welcome to begin with a single session and see how it feels, with no obligation to continue. If you decide to, we can work together in a way that suits you best - whether that’s short-term, longer-term, or a more structured, goal-focused approach.

My first session

Your first session is a chance to focus on what has brought you here and what you’d like from therapy. I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions, and then the time is yours.

For some people, one session is enough - especially if they’re looking for clarity around a particular issue or simply need a safe space to offload. This is known as Single Session Therapy (SST), and it can stand alone, or be the starting point for longer-term work.

There’s no commitment to ongoing therapy unless you want it. Some clients prefer just one or two sessions, others choose to work together more regularly - the choice is always yours.
