Availability
Appointments are available during the day, afternoon, and evening, and I aim to be as flexible as possible to meet your needs.
I know how important it is to find a counsellor you feel comfortable with. If you feel a connection with what I’ve shared here, I encourage you to get in touch. I provide a free initial telephone consultation to discuss your goals, the reasons you are considering counselling, and to answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process.
About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Markus — a Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I work with people facing a wide range of challenges, offering a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you can slow down, be heard, and make sense of what’s going on for you.
I provide one-to-one sessions in person or online, making therapy accessible in a way that suits you. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, build resilience, and find a path forward that feels more authentic and balanced.
I am a registered member of the Â鶹Դ´ (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and work within their Ethical Framework. I also engage in regular supervision and professional development to ensure safe and effective practice, so you can feel confident that your wellbeing is always at the centre of our work.
I offer both short- and long-term therapy across a wide range of issues. I work integratively, drawing on Clarkson’s model, while tailoring my approach to you as an individual — your story, your struggles, and your hopes. At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing and growth come through self-understanding and genuine connection.
I have a particular interest in supporting people during times of transition, whether that’s changes in health, relationships, work, or identity, or simply adjusting to a new chapter in life. These times can feel uncertain, but they also offer opportunities for growth. Therapy can provide the space to make sense of these changes and find new ways of moving forward with strength and self-compassion.
Practice description
I offer sessions in person at my private practice in Woking, as well as remote video and telephone sessions. This flexibility means you can access support in the way that feels most comfortable for you.
I am fully DBS checked.
As a therapist, I am caring, open, and genuine. I provide a safe and supportive space where you can talk freely about whatever is on your mind. Together, we will explore your challenges and work collaboratively towards the goals that matter most to you.
I have experience helping clients with a wide range of issues, always tailoring therapy to your individual needs so that you can get the most out of your counselling journey.
My first session
Your first session will be an assessment session, lasting around one hour. This session is designed to give me a clear understanding of you and the challenges you may be facing, so I can offer a service tailored specifically to your needs. It’s also your chance to ask any questions about counselling and to get a feel for how we might work together.
I know that a first session can sometimes feel a little nerve-wracking, but you’ll be welcomed into a safe, caring, and relaxed space. My role is to listen, support, and walk alongside you. Together, we’ll explore what kind of therapy might help you most, talk about the goals you’d like to work towards, and agree on the best way for us to move forward.
