About me and my therapy practice
I'm an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, providing talking therapy for adults. I work with anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, grief and bereavement, self-esteem and relationships. I hold a PhD in Psychology and have a decade of experience in applied behavioural science. This gives me an evidence-informed lens to understand how difficulties take shape and persist, and allows me to draw on various theories and knowledge to support our work together.
Practice description
My approach is warm, relational and collaborative—primarily person-centred and humanistic, informed by psychodynamic and attachment perspectives. In sessions, we work with your emotional experience in the present, linking it with the past when useful. When helpful, I may also draw on brief, solution-focused approaches to support the direction you choose.
My first session
Our first session will be a 50-minute assessment session, where we will explore what brings you to therapy, clarify your aims, set out how we'll work together (contract and practicalities) and check whether we're a good therapeutic fit. We’ll agree next steps collaboratively. Many people begin with 6–12 sessions and review; some prefer longer-term work.
