About me and my therapy practice
A warm welcome
While many wounds arise within relationships, whether with family, friends, partners, or caregivers, it is also through relationship that healing, growth, and change can unfold.
I offer a compassionate, supportive, and down-to-earth space for you to come just as you are. Together we can explore without judgment, and untangle whatever it is that you are struggling with.
Together, we can become more aware of old patterns, thoughts, and beliefs that may be influencing your life and holding you back. We can work through those that no longer serve you, allowing you to connect and relate in more authentic and healthier ways鈥攚ith yourself, with the people in your life, and with the world around you.
As you deepen your awareness and connection to your authenticity, you create space for healthier ways of being and relating- to yourself, the people in your life, and to the world around you.
I recognise that each person brings their own history, experiences, culture, and ways of being in the world, therefore our work is co-created, with you at the centre and at your pace.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor. My approach is relational, drawing primarily from humanistic and psychodynamic traditions, with a particular interest in attachment theory.
Practice description
Sometimes the reason for seeking therapy feels clear. Other times it may feel foggy or harder to name. It could be something unresolved from your past that keeps seeping into your present, a current distress, or simply a sense that something needs to change. You might feel that something is 鈥渙ff,鈥 that you haven鈥檛 felt like yourself for a while, or you may be asking deeper questions about who that self really is.
If you鈥檙e from another cultural background or have moved to the UK, you may also be navigating the challenges of transition and change in an ever-shifting world.
Whatever it is that brings you here, whether you're struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-worth, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions or something else entirely, you are welcome.
My first session
I know how important it is to find a therapist you feel comfortable with, someone who can be alongside you on your journey.
If you sense we could work well together, email me to arrange a complimentary 15-minute call. We'll discuss what has brought you and explore how we might work together. I can answer any questions about my approach, and we can go from there.
We can work together either short or long term depending on what feels right for you, and this can be reviewed along the way.
