Availability
I have openings for online clients in the evenings and at weekends. I offer short and long term therapy, including single session focus.
Online couples therapy is also available.
Group therapy sessions run periodically, both in person at a Grantham location and online. Contact me for more information if this is of interest. There are general therapy groups and groups on specific topics including burnout, neurodivergence, grief, health and caring for others.
Some clients seek outdoor therapy which we can agree together depending on your needs.
Therapy is an investment, but times are hard. I offer some concessions so if cost is an issue please get in touch with me and we can discuss.
About me and my therapy practice
Whether it all feels like too much, or not enough, I can help you achieve a better balance aimed towards achieving the life you want. If you are seeking change, I can support you to achieve that. If you are seeking understanding, we can explore that together. If you don’t yet know what it is you are seeking, but you know you want some help, you will find that here too. I think it's important that we look at the whole picture and the whole person to ensure the right support is available for you. If you are unsure, schedule a free consultation to learn more.
I offer a therapeutic service which is tailored to you as an individual. We will agree how best to work together, and that is likely to involve a mix of modalities and tools based on the goals you set. Therapy can be hard, but it can also be fun, creative, enriching and enlivening. It can be short or long term- we will find what works best together.
I believe in adapting my therapeutic approach to individual clients to best support them. I will craft a treatment plan with you, using tools and modalities that are most likely to help you achieve the goals you set. All of my clients are individuals and I truly enjoy offering therapy that caters to that, tailoring a unique approach which draws upon over 10 years of training and qualifications to help you meet your goals.
I love to work creatively, and people are sometimes surprised to hear we can have fun whilst doing deep or trauma related work. I love working with clients who are impacted by neurodivergence whether this relates to them or people they care about. I willingly make adjustments to ensure therapy can work for you/your relationship.
Practice description
I am passionate about ensuring people have access to support for their mental health to help them develop and grow. For more than 20 years I have worked in consultancy and public service environments. I have always been fascinated about why people do what they do, and in understanding what makes them tick which has led to me becoming a coach and therapist.
I offer an integrated approach predominantly using Transactional Analysis. This model of psychotherapy is proven to be clinically effective and I encourage clients to remain in therapy only for as long as they need. In therapy we are always working towards an ending where you have achieved your goals.
Counselling is a talking therapy which provides you with the space to talk freely and have someone truly listen without judgment or shaming. I offer you safety and containment and we will always agree how we work together, and will review our progress to ensure it is giving you the support you need.
I hold a Level 7 qualification in Transactional Analysis Counselling and I am in my final year of advanced clinical training to qualify as a psychotherapist. I am a registered member with the United Kingdom Association of Psychotherapists (UKCP Trainee) and United Kingdom Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA Student) in addition to being MÂ鶹Դ´.
Everybody deserves someone who will listen to them and support them. Who will challenge them in the right ways, and enable them to thrive. Your goal might be a professional one, a deeply personal one or a bit of everything. Whatever you bring, I will use all of my training, experience and expertise to our work together.
My first session
I offer clients a free initial consultation to decide if we are a good fit for each other. This takes place online and will last for approximately twenty minutes. You will be invited to share what you are seeking from counselling, and any reasonable adjustments you may need. I will share with you my approach and my recommendations for how we could work together to help shape your decision.
It's important for you to feel comfortable with your therapist so I encourage you to speak to more than one person and to take the time you need to reflect before deciding.
Sessions are usually 60 minutes. If you decide to continue with me, in your first session you can expect us to complete a client intake process which will include assessments relevant to the area you wish to work upon. This will usually take approximately 10 minutes.
For clients seeking couples counselling, I will send each of you assessment forms to complete individually in advance of the first session. A free initial consultation is available for both of you which will last approximately 30 minutes. If you decide to continue with me, Couples sessions last 75 minutes.
For clients who need assistance with forms this is provided, equally for clients who prefer to complete these independently outside of session that is also facilitated.
