Availability

I offer in-person sessions from a warm and welcoming private therapy space close to the centre of Malmesbury, Wiltshire.

The dedicated therapy room is close to the long stay carpark, so ideal for those coming from slightly further afield. As Malmesbury is close to the Gloucestershire border, it's within easy reach of Tetbury, Cirencester, Sherston, Royal Wootton Bassett and the surrounding towns and villages.

Alternatively, we can harness the restorative power of nature and conduct our sessions whilst walking together. Please talk to me if you interested in learning more about how this works.

Finally, if you prefer, I am happy to meet with you online.

I work flexibly, offering both open ended and time limited counselling to people over the age of 18, at a time to suit you.

I currently have availability for new clients on Mondays and Fridays.

About me and my therapy practice

I'm Ged, a qualified therapeutic counsellor, registered with the Â鶹ԭ´´ and working in accordance with their ethical and professional standards.

Whatever challenges you may be facing – whether you are feeling anxious, depressed, stuck or overwhelmed – my role is to provide you with a safe, confidential space for you to speak about what is distressing you and explore those challenges at your own pace.

My practice is grounded in a person-centred approach: I believe you are the expert in your own life with the ability to overcome the challenges you face.

As an integrative therapist, I am here to support and guide you through your exploration, able to draw on a range of approaches that best suit your needs, whether you want to focus on current difficulties or explore how your past experiences may be shaping your present life. The choice of how we work together is always yours to make.

Practice description

I provide therapeutic counselling for individual clients over the age of 18.

Our sessions will usually be held weekly and will last for 50 minutes.

We can agree to do this for a fixed time period, or, if you prefer, to open ended sessions.

It takes time to build a therapeutic relationship, so it's worth giving some time to allow that to happen and to hopefully build a trust between us that enables you to explore the issues that you are facing.

My first session

Looking for a therapist can feel daunting, and finding the right person for you is important.  I offer a free 15-minute introductory call to get a chance to talk to one another, discuss what you are looking for and to see if we can find a regular time that works for you.

If you decide you would like to, we will then arrange an initial session, either online or in person. This first session is exploratory – a chance for me to learn more about you and your hopes for therapy, and for you to get a sense of how I work. If you feel I am the right therapist for you, we can then move to regular sessions, usually once a week for 50 minutes.
