About me and my therapy practice

Hello

Thank you for reading my profile.

I'm Joanna, a newly qualified person-centred counsellor ready to support you in exploring life's challenges.

At the moment I work remotely so all sessions with me would be online

My journey in psychotherapy is fueled by a passion for helping individuals navigate through difficulties such as low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.

Practice description

Life can become overwhelming, and looking for help and guidance to navigate these moments is completely normal. This is where counselling plays a crucial role—it provides a safe space for you to speak openly, look into your thoughts, and discover pathways back to happiness.

During my training, I have supported clients facing a diverse range of challenges, including anxiety (both health-related and social anxieties), depression, low self-esteem, mood swings, grief, self-harm or anger. We also addressed relationship issues involving family, partners, friends, or colleagues.

This therapeutic journey encourages self-awareness, empowers you to find your voice, and express yourself fully. It also involves working through past traumas and negative experiences, such as racism, identity struggles, loss, and difficult transitions. Engaging with a counsellor when life feels harsh can lighten the road, helping you move toward a more rewarding and balanced life.

My first session

Taking your first steps to counseling can be daunting and it may feel overwhelming and intimidating, probably more if you feel lonely or misunderstood. It is never easy to reach out for help.

I provide a free of charge 20-minute call to discuss how I might assist you in your counselling journey and to answer any questions you may have.

In our first session, we'll explore your background and experiences to determine if we're a good match. Should we decide that I'm not the best fit for your needs, I'll be happy to help you find another professional who may be more suited to assist you.

Whether you're prepared to take the next step or are still unsure, take your time, it has to feel right for you.

When you are ready, feel free to contact me on joanna.dlugosz@live.co.uk to set up a free introductory call.
