About me and my therapy practice

Are you navigating a major life transition such as menopause, living with chronic pain & illness, coping with bereavement, or experiencing family or relationship issues? I’m a counsellor in Tunbridge Wells and online who specialises in grief and loss relating to health, relationships and emotional change.

Therapy gives you a safe place to talk about loss, unpredictable life changes and relationships, as well as the stress, anxiety, and identity shifts that comes with them. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s going on and find practical ways forward.

I work with you to make sense of these experiences. You might feel hopeless or down because you cannot change certain things in life. However with the insight and self-compassion from therapy, it’s possible to change how you respond to them.

I’ll work with you to help you make sense of your place in the world right now. We can look at what works for you, and what doesn’t, and what you’d like to change or let go of, so you can balance your life in a way that feels right for you.

I will help you tap into your inner strength, resilience, and resources to reduce distress and help you move towards a more meaningful future.

I have a special interest in working with people who have experienced:

- Bereavement & loss

- Chronic illness & pain

- Menopause & life transitions

- Family & relationship issues

Also experienced with:

- Stress, anxiety & low mood

- Self confidence & self esteem

- Life purpose

- Identity

If the issue you are experiencing isn't mentioned and you would like to work with me, just get in touch and we can explore how I could help.

Getting to know me

It’s important you can bring your whole self to therapy - even the parts you find difficult to accept. I will listen with empathy and without judgement to help you explore these parts so you can move towards self-acceptance.

Ifyou’d like to see whether we’re a good fit, I offer a complimentary 15-minute introductory call.

Practice description

How I work

I offer in person sessions in central Tunbridge Wells. I also offer online therapy via Teams.

Sessions are 50 minutes and will take place on a weekly basis at the same day and time.

We can work on a short-term basis of 12 weeks, which is ideally suited to those wishing to work on a specific issue or goal, or we can work longer-term with an open-ended agreement. It's up to you.

Training & experience

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic Counselling & Psychotherapy and am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (Â鶹ԭ´´).

My first session

Deciding to go to therapy can be a big step. So, it’s important the therapist you choose is the right fit for you, because you will be sharing a lot of information about yourself – in some cases, you might be discussing things you’ve never told anyone before.

To help you decide whether I'm a good fit, I suggest we meet for an initial 50 minute session. During this session, I will undertake a brief assessment. It also gives you a chance to tell me what brings you to therapy, with the understanding that you may not feel ready to share everything yet. You can also ask me questions about how I work.

Together we can decide whether what I offer is suitable for you – although there’s no rush, I appreciate you might need time to think it through. While there's no obligation to go ahead, if it feels right, we can discuss arranging your next session.

The initial session will be charged at a rate of £35.00. Subsequent sessions will be charged at £70 per hour.
