About me and my therapy practice
I鈥檓 a qualified person-centred counsellor working with children, teenagers, adults and families, offering a calm and supportive space where you can talk openly without judgement or pressure.
My combination of education, work experience and lived experience allows me to offer a unique balance of professional knowledge and real-life understanding to the people I work with.
My practice is inclusive and neuroaffirming, with a particular focus on supporting individuals with Autism (ASC), ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence 鈥 whether formally diagnosed, self-identified, or still exploring who they are.
I take an integrative and flexible approach, adapting the way I work to suit each person鈥檚 age, communication style and sensory needs. Some sessions involve talking; others may include creative tools, movement, quiet reflection or practical strategies 鈥 whatever feels most helpful and safe for you.
My aim is to help you:
- Make sense of thoughts and feelings that may feel overwhelming or tangled
- Understand your own patterns and needs with greater self-compassion
- Strengthen communication and connection within yourself or your family
- Offer a space that you can be yourself
Whether you're experiencing anxiety, burnout, masking, identity struggles, relationship stress, or simply feeling 鈥渢oo much鈥 or 鈥渘ot enough鈥, you don鈥檛 have to make sense of it alone. I will meet you exactly where you are 鈥 at your pace.
Practice description
Clients are offered a calm and accepting space 鈥 whether online or face-to-face 鈥 where there is no pressure to perform, mask or find the 鈥渞ight words鈥. You are welcome exactly as you are.
Sessions move at your pace, and I鈥檒l work collaboratively with you to find a rhythm and style that feels safe and manageable. For some people that means open conversation; for others it may involve pauses, quiet reflection, structure, movement or creative tools. There is no single 鈥渞ight鈥 way to do therapy with me.
For children and teenagers, I offer a relaxed and engaging environment, using approaches such as play, art, storytelling or practical strategies, depending on age and preference. For adults and parents, I provide both reflective space and grounded, real-life support when needed.
I value honesty, warmth and humanity. You can expect me to be gentle but real 鈥 I will listen closely, support you through difficult moments, and offer gentle challenge when it feels helpful.
Above all, I aim to make therapy a place where you don鈥檛 have to explain or hide parts of yourself that may already feel tired from explaining elsewhere. Just bring yourself 鈥 we鈥檒l figure the rest out together.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute informal chat to identify what is bringing you to counselling, what your initial concerns are and if I have the right qualifications and experience you need and if you I feel could be the right person to support you.
If you choose to continue, our first session is a gentle introduction rather than a full deep dive. It鈥檚 a chance for us to get to know each other and decide together whether we feel like a good fit.
During this session, we will:
- Talk through what brings you (or your child) to therapy
- Explore what you are hoping to gain or change
- Discuss any communication or sensory preferences you may have
- Complete an initial assessment
The first session is charged at the standard session rate, and you are welcome to ask any questions or raise concerns 鈥 there is no obligation to continue if it doesn鈥檛 feel like the right fit.
