About me and my therapy practice

Do you seem to cope on the outside, while inside things feel messy or unclear?

Do you put others first and push your own feelings aside?

Have you lost interest in things you used to enjoy or started pulling away from others?

Or perhaps nothing is dramatically 'wrong'  but something no longer feels right?

People often come to therapy after trying to manage on their own for a long time. By the time they reach out, they are usually not looking for advice or reassurance, they are looking for a place where they can think and speak more honestly than they can elsewhere.

I am a psychologist and psychotherapist with over a decade of experience supporting adults and young people through periods of emotional difficulty, transition and quiet inner struggle. I hold a degree in Psychology and a Â鶹ԭ´´-accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I understand therapy as a space to slow down, to listen more carefully to what has been pushed aside, silenced or carried alone for too long.  There is no pressure to arrive with clear answers or the 'right' words. We begin wherever you are.

In our sessions, we look at what is difficult and what is confusing, but also at the ways you cope, the strengths you may not have noticed. I am particularly attentive to the unspoken parts of experience; the feelings that are hard to name, the patterns that repeat, the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and how these show up in relationships, choices and moments of emotional struggle. Sometimes insight comes quietly, sometimes it comes in leaps. Either way, the goal is understanding and change that actually fits your life.

Some people come wanting relief from something specific; others arrive with a vague sense that something isn’t right. I don’t expect clarity at the beginning. We work things out together, carefully, thoughtfully and with respect for your pace and your need for change.

Practice description

My approach is integrative, which means I draw on several ways of working; psychodynamic, existential, person-centred and solution-focused therapy. But the focus is always on you. So rather than following a fixed model, I adapt the work to you by allowing therapy to remain responsive to your needs and ways of making sense of your experience.

People come to therapy for many reasons: anxiety, low mood, grief or loss, questions about who they are or uncertainty about what matters to them. Some want to build confidence, work through past unhealthy relationships or address unresolved childhood experiences that have affected how they see themselves. Others struggle with sleep, feel lost or empty or are facing major life changes like job loss, relationship breakdowns, illness or sudden disruptions. Some are dealing with everyday pressures, repeating patterns or habits that no longer serve them.

Therapy here isn’t about doing it 'right'. It’s about understanding, noticing and opening room for change that actually fits your life.

If you are thinking about starting therapy and wondering whether this could be a place where you feel understood, you are welcome to get in touch.

My first session

Before we begin, I offer a free brief consultation call so we can get to know one another. This is a space for you to ask questions and for us to see if we feel comfortable working together. I understand that starting therapy can be daunting-this first step is about easing into the process.

Our initial session will be an opportunity for you to share more of your background, current challenges and hopes for therapy. From there, we can shape a direction that feels right for you. We will also agree on the terms of our work together, including confidentiality and boundaries.
