About me and my therapy practice
My work is rooted in the person-centred approach, which means I believe you are the expert in your own life. Therapy is not about being fixed or judged, but about being met with empathy, respect and genuine understanding. I offer a calm, confidential space where you can explore whatever feels important to you, at your own pace.
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, low self-esteem, overwhelm, relationship challenges and feeling disconnected from yourself. Alongside this, I have specialist experience supporting people with disordered relationships with food and self, such as binge eating, secret eating, chronic dieting, shame and long-standing struggles that have not shifted through willpower alone.
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing on both counselling and nutritional therapy where appropriate. This allows us to gently explore the emotional, relational and physiological factors that may be maintaining difficult patterns. I pay close attention to nervous system regulation, body trust and the impact of stress, recognising that many coping behaviours make sense in the context of someone’s lived experience.
I work slowly and collaboratively, prioritising safety, consent and choice. There is no pressure to talk about anything before you feel ready, and no expectation to change faster than feels right for you. My role is to walk alongside you with curiosity and compassion, helping you make sense of your experiences and reconnect with your inner resources.
Clients often tell me they feel deeply heard, less alone, and more trusting of themselves. Over time, many experience greater emotional steadiness, reduced shame, improved self-worth and a more peaceful relationship with food and their body.
I offer one-hour sessions, in person and online, and tailor my work to meet your individual needs.
