About me and my therapy practice

馃崈 Cancer and other health issues
馃崈 Anxiety and life transitions
馃崈 Relationship patterns and trauma

If you鈥檙e feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and quietly struggling behind a brave smile, you鈥檙e not alone. When fear and self-doubt keep repeating 鈥淚鈥檓 going to mess this up,鈥 it can drain your confidence and hope. I can help you feel heard, find calm, and discover practical ways forward.

What can I help you with?
I offer counselling for bereavement, loss, anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, life transitions, and patterns that leave you feeling stuck.

I specialise in supporting people who are living with cancer, going through treatment, or caring for鈥攐r grieving鈥攁 loved one with cancer.
These experiences are deeply personal and can feel isolating, often affecting self-esteem, identity, and emotional well-being.

Together, we鈥檒l navigate the emotional ups and downs at your pace. Cancer and other health issues can be an overwhelming experience 鈥 emotionally, physically, and mentally. It can stir feelings of fear, sadness, confusion, anger, or isolation, and can sometimes make it difficult to recognise yourself or connect with others in the way you once did. You may feel pressured to 鈥渟tay strong鈥 for loved ones, even while you鈥檙e struggling inside. My role is to offer a safe, understanding space where you can bring all of your thoughts and feelings without judgment, where you can be wholly yourself.

What is my approach?
My approach is grounded, compassionate, and centred on your individual story. There鈥檚 no expectation to have it all worked out before starting therapy. If you鈥檙e feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or just in need of space to pause and reflect, we can begin right where you are.

My experience:
I have years of experience working with people of all ages and personal experience relating to cancer and other health issues. If this speaks to you, you鈥檙e welcome to get in touch, and we can begin with a simple, no-pressure conversation.

Practice description

At Geraldine鈥檚 Therapy, I offer a gentle, compassionate space for people navigating the emotional and psychological impact of cancer and other health issues 鈥攚hether you are living with cancer, undergoing or recovering from treatment, or supporting or grieving someone you love. These experiences can bring profound emotional pain, affecting your sense of self, relationships, body image, and hopes for the future.

My aim is to walk alongside you with warmth, empathy, and respect, creating a safe space where you can explore your feelings openly and begin to find meaning, steadiness, and healing at your own pace.

I understand that every cancer journey is unique鈥攚hether you are coming to terms with a diagnosis, coping with treatment side effects, living with uncertainty, processing loss, or rebuilding confidence and identity after trauma or illness.

With years of experience supporting people through change, illness, loss, and other issues such as anxiety, relationship problems, I offer sessions both in person and online for adults. I am a Registered Member of the 麻豆原创.

At Geraldine鈥檚 Therapy, I believe in empowering change through compassion鈥攕upporting you to rediscover hope, identity, and emotional balance, even through life鈥檚 most tender and challenging seasons.

Counselling is a journey, and every step you take鈥攏o matter how small鈥攎atters. You don鈥檛 need to have everything figured out before you start; all you need to bring is yourself.

If you鈥檙e ready, we can take that first step together.

My first session

The first session is a gentle starting point where we can get to know one another and begin to explore what has brought you to therapy. It鈥檚 an opportunity for you to experience what it feels like to talk with me, ask any questions you may have, and see whether the space feels right for you.

I鈥檒l also invite you to share what has led you to seek therapy at this point in your life and what you hope to gain from our work together. There鈥檚 no pressure to share everything straight away鈥攚e鈥檒l move at your pace, and there鈥檚 no 鈥渞ight鈥 way to begin. This session is as much about you getting a feel for the therapeutic process as it is about deciding whether I鈥檓 the right therapist for you.

You鈥檙e very welcome to ask questions at any point, whether about how I work, what therapy might involve, or anything you鈥檙e unsure about. I aim to offer a calm, open, and non-judgmental space where you can begin to feel safe, supported, and heard.

At the end of the session, if we both feel that we鈥檙e a good fit and you鈥檇 like to continue, we can arrange further sessions. There is no obligation to continue after the first meeting鈥攊t鈥檚 entirely your choice.

The first session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at my usual rate of 拢60.
