About me and my therapy practice

Are you looking for support? Feeling stressed, anxious, or struggling with low self-esteem? I offer a compassionate and reflective space to explore your situation, work through difficulties and discover new ways to create positive change.

I am an engaged and interactive psychotherapist. I work alongside you to navigate day-to-day challenges while also supporting you in deepening your awareness of yourself, your patterns, and your experiences, so that healing and growth can take place.

I believe we need to look to the past to find the core of what might be impacting you, while practically focussing on the present to develop new ways of being and acknowledge unhelpful patterns. By recognising how past experiences shape current challenges, we can work together to create meaningful change in your life now.

My role is to provide a safe space where you can explore what troubles you. While I offer compassion without judgment, I will also gently challenge you when I believe it’s safe and helpful for your growth.

I am non-defensive, ensuring we have regular check-ins and space for feedback.

Above all, I offer a safe and steady presence and space you can trust. Together, we can explore what matters most to you and create meaningful, lasting change in your life.

Practice description

How I work?

My role is to understand your world from your perspective so that together we can explore and work towards the changes you want to make in your life. I am trained in the Humanistic approach, which means I draw on:

Trauma-Informed Care - I use techniques that help you feel safe and progress at a pace that’s comfortable for you.

Person-Centred Approach -  I see us as equals, and I believe you already carry the resources you need - my role is to help you access and strengthen them.

Interactive Techniques – Drawing on Gestalt and Transactional Analysis I help you engage with different parts of yourself in the present moment. I help you develop resilience and self-compassion. I support you in building trust, exploring past experiences, and working through unresolved issues to promote healing.

Existential Reflection – I encourage thoughtful self-reflection to deepen your understanding of yourself and your life.

I initially trained in Therapeutic Skills and Studies at The Metanoia Institute (London, UK), before completing a BSc (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling at Middlesex University London and a Clinical Diploma at The Metanoia Institute. Altogether, I have four years of university-level training.

I have also completed additional specialised trainings, including:

Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Coaching, Operation Centaur, London.

Certificate in Working with Refugee People and Their Families, The Tavistock and Portman, London

I am fully insured, receive regular professional supervision, and undertake ongoing CPD courses to continue developing my skills. I have gained valuable experience working with the NHS and a range of charities, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds.

My first session

First Contact

After you get in touch and we’ve agreed on an initial session, I will email you a short form to complete. This helps me gather some basic information and understand what brings you to therapy, so we can make the most of our first session.

First Session – What to Expect?

I understand that the first therapy session can sometimes feel daunting and my role is to support you from the very beginning. The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, expectations and needs, and address any questions you may have.

We will also talk about how we might work together, including the frequency and potential length of therapy. This will be reviewed regularly as part of our ongoing work. Some people benefit most from long-term therapy, while others experience meaningful change in just a few sessions - the duration always depends on your needs and goals.

I do not offer introductory phone calls, as I believe they do not provide enough information for either of us to make an informed decision about starting therapy.
