About me and my therapy practice
Psychotherapy with me can help you move from anxiety, stuckness, self-doubt, and self-criticism towards a more peaceful relationship with yourself. There are no quick fixes in therapy, but it can be a powerful journey of self-discovery and a grounding anchor during difficult times.
I am a grounded, attuned and down-to-earth therapist. I believe every person is unique, as are their experiences and feelings.
My approach is humanistic and relational. I pay attention to how you experience relationships - both past and present - and how these patterns may show up in the therapy space. By building a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship, we can explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in a way that supports deeper understanding and meaningful change.
I am trained in Gestalt, Person-Centred and Transactional Analysis. The work might involve:
- Exploring how your past experiences influence your life
- Noticing how your mind and body interact
- Using creative or experiential exercises to look at a problem from a new angle
- Gently challenging patterns or perspectives when it feels safe and appropriate to do so
- Offering insights, reflections, or practical things to try out between the sessions
There is no right or wrong way to be in our sessions - you can bring anything to the space, from your deepest concerns to the smallest daily issues.
You are welcome to get in touch so we can explore what brings you to therapy and how we might work together.

My first session
First Session – What to Expect?
I understand that the first therapy session can sometimes feel daunting and my role is to support you from the very beginning.
The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, expectations and needs, and address any questions you may have.
We will also talk about how we might work together, including the frequency and potential length of therapy. This will be reviewed regularly as part of our ongoing work. Some people benefit most from long-term therapy, while others experience meaningful change in just a few sessions - the duration always depends on your needs and goals.
You are very welcome to get in touch if you’d like to know more, schedule a session or have a chat about how we might work together.
